I will say again Dr. El-Sayed was calm but direct and people complained about his tone. Meanwhile this is happening-
“Wait! WAIT! You better be careful… Quiet! QUIET! What’s wrong with you? Are you a sick person?”
The short-tempered thin-skinned dictator wannabe with cratering approval numbers repeatedly loses his shit at reporters. (H/T @atrupar)

🚨UNHINGED. Donald Trump is experiencing a rage I’ve never seen in him before.
Rage is a symptom of dementia, especially when the disease progresses into the middle stages or affects specific areas like the frontal lobe.

We are past the point of political disagreement. We are witnessing a catastrophic collision between unchecked narcissism and obvious neurological decay. It is the most dangerous intersection in American history: a man with the absolute power of the Presidency and the absolute cognitive failure of a person no longer tethered to reality.

Any credible allegation of voter fraud should be taken seriously and investigated.
That being said, the action by Trump’s DOJ — charging just 28 individuals — suggests they have no evidence to back up their claims just last week of TENS or HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of illegally registered voters.
Yes, non-citizen voter registration and voting does happen in isolated instances — in California and the rest of the country alike — but it is so rare that the Trump admin is parading around town about .0001% of California voters.
If the feds were serious about this, they would have done this long ago — not in the middle of people voting, which inherently and needlessly sows distrust and doubt in our democracy.

Trump’s own appointees asked the government’s election security agency to secretly hack a voting machine and send the results to the White House. The career staff refused.
ProPublica broke this story. Early in this term, political appointees at Homeland Security went to CISA with a request. Buy a voting machine in secret. Break into it. Don’t tell the company that makes it what you find. Report back so it can go to the White House. That’s the opposite of how CISA works. When it finds a weakness, the whole point is to get it patched.
One former official said the plan looked like something they could keep in their back pocket to invalidate any election results they don’t like. The staff kept telling the appointees it couldn’t be done. Part of the reason? DOGE had already laid off the specialists who could pull it off.
This is the agency Trump created. In 2020 it called that election the most secure in American history, and Trump fired the director for saying so. Since then a third of its workforce is gone, states say they’ll never share information with it again, and its election security plan came out at thirteen pages after early voting had already started.
So the agency built to protect the vote has been gutted, and the people who gutted it asked what was left to hack a voting machine. I break it all down in today’s show (link in reply).

On this day in 1977, 49 years ago, Lynyrd Skynyrd's plane crashed.
On October 20, 1977, Lynyrd Skynyrd was traveling from Greenville to Baton Rouge in a chartered plane, just three days after releasing their album "Street Survivors." Months earlier, Aerosmith had considered purchasing that same Convair 240 for their own tour but rejected it. Neither the aircraft nor the crew met minimum standards, and one of the managers saw the pilots sharing a bottle of whiskey while inspecting it.
The band, however, did agree to use it. The 30-year-old plane had already exhibited serious malfunctions on previous flights, including flames coming out of an engine. That night, it ran out of fuel and attempted an emergency landing in a swampy forest in Mississippi.
Lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, his sister Cassie, and three other people were killed. The very same plane that Aerosmith had ruled out as too dangerous ended up being fatal for Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Trump is trying to slap a Band-Aid on the open wound he caused. And make no mistake, it’s not to help the farmers. But the timing, weeks before the midterms, certainly doesn't hurt his chances with them.
He’s announcing another $8 BILLION in taxpayer money for farmers struggling with soaring fuel costs, rising production expenses and the fallout from his failed policies.
This comes after $12 billion in earlier farm aid.
But don’t forget WHY you need the handouts repeatedly, and only when he’s in office. He creates the crisis, makes taxpayers pay to manage the damage, and calls himself the hero.
That’s one expensive Band-Aid. I, for one, am tired of paying it. Aren’t you?
