Reintroduction: after leading product at Base, I've spent the past year cooking up a new project in the classical music space, Run up the Sky.
We are a chamber music collective dedicated to recording, performing, and promoting new works, by living composers.
Our mission is to reduce greed, hate, and delusion
by bringing people together
with music and story.
I just got back from a fun and productive summer festival run: in Vienna, a performance of my string quartet at Mozarthaus by Mivos Quartet; in China, a recording of my solo piano piece at the Shanghai Conservatory with Soundbox Ventures. And next month, I’m recording my chamber quintet, The Guilds of Sibiu, with New World Symphony Fellows here in Miami Beach.
At a moment of enormous technological and cultural change, we’re betting on:
- Human connection
- The importance of art and aesthetics in our lives
- Real people; real performances; tactile objects and experiences
- And yes, brought to life, in part, with technology just now becoming possible
Link to our first music video (for solo flute) in the replies.
And while I’m not actively contributing in tech right now, I’m following closely, and it’s great to see friends and former colleagues building at the edge of what’s possible.
If you’re interested in classical music, new creative work, or simply reconnecting, I’d love to hear from you.
May you all be well and happy and productive!

No one builds a multibillion-dollar company alone.
Not one.
Behind every "visionary" is a team that actually makes it real - people who understand product, people who can sell, and people who can build.
The real skill isn't doing everything yourself.
It's attracting people who are better than you in the right places
- and giving them a reason to stay.
If you're trying to do it all alone, you're not building a company.
You're building a ceiling.

Today, I turn a year older. And every year on this day, I reflect on something far bigger than me.
For a long time, I believed luck was something that just happens to you. Then I realised, luck can be engineered. Opportunity can be democratised.
Hope is not just a feeling; it is a system we can build.
I saw this post and the comment under it had me thinking.
What is the future of contents and social media?
I opened my wallet and saw $4.46B
I’m really confused on how to react.
It’s like I would stay lowkey for a while 😂
I really wonder how some people sit down and watch this kind of things happen. For God sake this is not normal.
This is the sickest shit I ever seen. What kind of disgusting tradition is this? Even animals don’t be doing this shit.
Shame to all the men in this video.
The government of Delta state needs to intervene and shut down whatever culture or tradition this is. @DSGovernment

A Nigerian built Pandora before Pandora.
@iKEOrizu created TruSpot Radio—a streaming platform before Apple Music, before Spotify touched Africa.
The industry wasn't ready. The infrastructure wasn't there.
But the vision was right.

If Spotify and YouTube leave Africa tomorrow, the entire music industry collapses.
We own nothing.
@Audu Maikori has watched this for 20 years. @MI_Abaga @Jessejagz. @Iceprincezamani. He built Chocolate City before Afrobeats went global.
The systems are radically changing, a complete ownership is at the peak of the industry. The problem with the market in Nigeria and Africa is they need to start accepting what is built by them.
