We were proud to welcome the Brookfield and New Milford girls softball teams to the Capitol this week! After Brookfield won the Class L title in June, the two teams went to the UConn Dairy Bar together for ice cream. That's real sportsmanship. Congrats on an incredible season!
🛒Glad to join Alltown Fresh, Mayor Bass, Rep. Buckbee, the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce and community members for the ribbon cutting of their new grocery store in New Milford! Having more places to grab fresh, healthy food close to home matters. Congrats and welcome!
I'm proud to have helped support $900,000 in Community Investment Funding for the historic mill at 245 E. Elm St. in Torrington! It'll soon be home to a grocery store and an indoor recreation center and event space. This will bring new jobs and real reinvestment to Torrington!
It was an honor to host a Wartime Service Medal Ceremony at New Milford High School recognizing those who served our nation. It was especially meaningful to have a World War II veteran with us. Thank you to my fellow legislators and Mayor Pete Bass for helping honor our heroes.
🏥 Great news for Sharon Hospital and our rural communities! The hospital will receive $13.12M in federal funding to strengthen care, recruit and retain healthcare workers and improve opioid addiction services. Proud to work across the aisle to secure this investment.
🏠 Great to join @ctrealtors at the Warner Theatre in Torrington for “Fired Up and Focused.” Realtors help families find more than a house—they help them find a community, put down roots and build a future. It was great to hear their perspectives and thank them for all they do.
📢 CT farmers and agricultural producers: Applications are now open for the Farm Recovery and Support Block Grant Program to assist farms that suffered losses from weather events in 2023 and 2024. If you may be eligible, learn more and apply: portal.ct.gov/FRS
25 years later, the loss of 9/11 is still deeply felt across CT. Today, we remember the lives taken too soon, the families forever changed and the courage of first responders and everyday Americans. Their bravery will remain forever in our nation’s heart. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
People are struggling with electric bills, taxes and CT’s high cost of living. Republicans have a new plan to lower taxes, implement a gas tax holiday, repeal of the Highway Use Tax and Public Benefits Charge and make healthcare more affordable. I’ll keep fighting for you.
🚧 A heads-up for Torrington-area residents: CTDOT has several road, bridge and railroad projects beginning this week. Be mindful of lane closures and changing traffic patterns. Allow extra travel time, slow down in construction zones and follow all posted signs and directions.
Wishing everyone a happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸
Today, we honor the hardworking men and women who keep our communities strong, from farmers and first responders to teachers, healthcare workers and local business employees.
Thank you for all you do. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
🏆 Proud to be named a @CBIANews Affordability Champion with a perfect 100% score for my 2026 pro-business voting record!
I’ll keep fighting to lower costs, support small businesses and make Connecticut a place where people can afford to stay and businesses thrive.

Standing in front of my old elementary school brings back great memories as students across our communities head back to the classroom. 📚✏️

🏥 It was an honor to recognize Sharon Hospital for earning a 5-star quality rating for the 7th consecutive year! This achievement reflects the dedication of its doctors, nurses, caregivers and staff who provide exceptional care to northwest CT every day. Congrats to the team!
Great joining Gary Byron on @talkofct this morning with House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora!
We talked about affordability and how CT Republicans are fighting to lower costs, cut wasteful spending and bring COMMON SENSE back to Hartford. Thanks to everyone who called in!
