If you think full auto firearms would cause more (or simply make them more deadly) mass shootings, you don't know enough about guns to have a valid opinion. For the last decade, we have had binary triggers that doubled the rate of fire of a gun. I'm that time, they have barely been used in crimes. In the last few years, we got the frt systems... Yet we haven't seen any uptick in the deadliness of shootings. Why? Pretty simple, actually: Increasing rate of fire doesn't produce more violent shootings. And, if they were to be used, they would cause the shooter to run out of ammo much quicker. This is why the ban on manufacturing of new machine guns is both unconstitutional and pointless. One of my favorite gun designs, ever, is the Browning Hi-Power. The Hi-Power was one of the first handguns that I ever shot, as my Dad got a Hi-Power Practical (blued slide, stainless frame) for his birthday when I was very young... This fact directly led to my love affair with metal frame, hammer fire guns and dual tones. To the point that my first handgun purchased on my own was the spiritual successor to the Hi-Power, the CZ-75B (which I also purchased in Duo Tone) This was the last design that St. Browning (as a protestant, the only saint I recognize) was working on when he passed away, leaving FN Herstal to finish the design by way of Browning's protege Dieudonné Saive (who later went on to design the FAL) It's double stack design was originally a stagger stack until Saive refined it and it was originally meant to fulfill a French service pistol request (which they stupidly picked the Petter Pistol instead, no wonder they lost...) This is one of the most beautifully designed and engineered guns ever made... with the Beretta 92 being the only one that comes close, in my opinion. Took me a while to find the right one, but when I finally did, I snapped it up.

PSA for new gun owners: One question that we get in my shop time and again is "What kind of gun cleaning kit should I buy?" Honestly, most "kits" are cheap Chinese crap and a waste of money. 99% of cleaning can be done with a boresnake, old t-shirt, and an old tooth brush. A boresnake can be had on amazon for like $10. Then get some solvent... good ole Hoppes #9 is still amazing and then a light lube like Rem Oil and you're golden for most cleaning. Anything that needs a thicker lube (AR bcg, etc) get something like Slip 2000 The "kits" are either grossly overpriced or composed of garbage.
