This is a big deal. The ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee is asking Merrick Garland and the DOJ IG to investigate the laundering of foreign disinformation into DOJ investigations - at the direction of Bill Barr. Exactly what I’ve been saying for 3 years.

Imagine having the unearned confidence to say you’ll hang some of the people on the other side of that damaged and barricaded door while having two guns pointed in your face. Imagine what would have happened if they weren’t white. Maybe that confidence is earned after all.

I’ve been doing live-watch updates on The Other App, but suffice to say that this new season of Quantum Leap has managed to suck all of the joy and hope out of the premise of the show; for its continued survival (and my interest in watching), I hope they turn it around quick.

They’re centering a needless drama that isn’t as interesting as the story of the leaps, and subverting the plot of each episode for it. The contrast between the glimmers of joy last episode and the constant reminder that everyone should be sad and angsty have made this apparent.
