According to W3Techs (21 Oct 2026), PHP powers 69.3% of websites with a known server-side language. Version 8 is on 65% of those. WordPress (PHP-based) runs ~40% of all sites. Share has eased from ~73% a year ago but still dwarfs the next languages (JS ~8%, Ruby ~7%).

PSA: Do NOT use public WiFi or shady DNS servers for the next few weeks. SSL is practically broken and you can be attcked with an MITM attack. Your ISP and other intermediaries can also spy on you. Use a trusted VPN. It will take a few days at least to flush out this crap CA.
Instead of using 384 bit random private keys, they used private keys like the super secret, unguessable number 4. They are a cryptography company. They had one job. They're selling Post-Quantum Cryptography while doing shit like this lmao.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
SSL/TLS is not broken. The vulnerability involved eight eMudhra intermediate certificates, which major browsers and operating systems (Chrome, Firefox, Apple, and Microsoft) had already blocked by October 20. Updated devices are protected against these MITM attacks. arstechnica.com/security/2026/… emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com

Cool.
cellebrite can now unlock your iphone remotely from 8 meters away, no physical access needed iPhone 11 through 16. even with stolen device protection turned on remember when zachxbt said use a dedicated iphone instead of a hardware wallet because it's safer? someone with this device just needs to be within 26 feet of you and your phone is open at a conference. at a coffee shop. in an airport. sitting next to you on a bus they don't need to touch your phone. they don't even need to be close enough for you to notice them and this is a tool being sold to law enforcement and forensic labs. right now. commercially available if it's available to governments it's eventually available to everyone else your iphone was never a vault. it was always just a phone with a better lock. and now even that lock can be picked from across the room

In the last 24 hours: 1. iPhone 11 through 16 are apparently vulnerable to remote attacks. 2. SSL certificates are broken until browsers remove eMudhra CA. 3. PHP >9 vulnerability CVE published (tomorrow). The world is about to witness things that have never been seen before.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post's iPhone claim is inaccurate; a leaked Cellebrite forensic tool targets a Bluetooth bug patched in iOS 26.5 and does not affect updated devices. The eMudhra CA and PHP issues are real incidents but framed sensationally. justin.sh/blog/2026/10/c… blog.mozilla.org/security/2026/… php.net

I had over 1000 sessions. jfc
This baboon Elon made it so that if you click any link on here, that website you go to can get your twitter account info if it gets compromised Which is how I have 3k+ sessions apparently
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
High session counts are a recent X app glitch from in-app browser use creating phantom Web sessions. External sites get no account info or access. Log out others via Settings > Security and account access > Apps and sessions. help.x.com/en/managing-yo…

I wonder who might have said such a thing?
The term ā€œShylockā€ is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The term was used (for at least the second intent in as many years) by President Trump. forbes.com/sites/siladity… Important context to point out the user of the term regardless of intent.

Mock up (with dummy data) of what the first One Million Edits epoch edition might look like. These will be free to claim for anyone who participates with at least one edit in the first epoch. You'll need all 10 editions if you want to burn for the final unique piece.

One Million Edits has 16 shades of grey, but most editors are sticking with black so far, I think because so much real estate is available on the canvas. I'm interested to see how that changes as space fills up, and also when artists will start collaborating on larger areas together.
Assuming everything goes as planned, it's a little under 24 hours until this opens up so I thought I'd talk a little more about what this is, how it works, and what's so interesting (to me) about it. Part of the fun (again, for me) is that the idea started off as high concept art, then as I worked on it became silly web fun, then eventually found it's way back to art.

Also can't wait to see who is the first to use the "Upload an Image" tool, and what they will add to the canvas. onemillionedits.art

Happy Opener, South Dakota! Foster and I wish you good luck in the field! Pheasant hunting is part of who we are, and it’s a tradition worth passing on to our kids and grandkids. As Governor, I partnered with landowners to start the Second Century Initiative, helping turn marginal land into wildlife habitat so the next generation can enjoy the same hunting traditions we grew up with.

Onchain Vanitas (2022) with Tom Lehman. The colors and positions of the vanitas elements are derived from the characters of the minter’s Ethereum address. Each address generates a unique composition but always produces the same piece when minted again.
