Over the next decade, every Fortune 500 CEO is going to have to answer the question: "How much stock/cash will your company be contributing to American savings accounts?" A tidal wave has begun, and this is a much better solution to the wealth inequality problem than anything offering by the septum piercing people.

my guy @greencrosslive has been quietly building some of the most interesting on-chain work around. stormglass is a series of daily plates. 36-frame loops generated live from ethereum data (gas fees as weather, eth price as flood, moon/tide, peg glitches, ownership marks). same token looks different every day. buyer picks the next one. immutable contracts, cc0, no admin. the art is sick. more of this 🫡🫡 dithervoid.art

ONE OF MY GREATEST PIECES OF CRYPTOART IS A STILL IMAGE. AND NOW IT'S HOUSED IN THE @CentrePompidou @osseneth SEEMS TO THINK THAT UTILIZING THE 'TECH' OF BLOCKCHAIN IS THE PURE ART. I DISAGREE, I THINK CC0....WHICH LIVES JUST OUTSIDE OF IT BUT IS ONE OF THE MOST ESSENTIAL PARTS OF THIS CULTURE AND TECH, IS THE HEART OF WHAT SATOSHI PRACTICED WHEN HE DROPPED THE CODE ONLINE FOR ALL TO USE. THE TECH WAS MADE, BUT TO LEAVE IT OPEN TO THE WORLD WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECTS TO DECENTRALIZATION. THIS IS WHAT THAT STILL IMAGE REPRESENTS. WELCOME TO MY TED TALK.

Over the last three years of doing art, not once have I sold out my work entirely. I think it is quite okay to have work available in some capacity. I look at it from the perspective of the art that I see in galleries that I visit; there are some works that hang on the wall for years before finding the right person.

I’ve been shooting for over 25 years. The first 20 of those years I was just “a photographer.” The last 5 of those years I’ve been “a photographer whose work has been exhibited in 10+ countries and whose photos have sold for over €1M on the art market”. KEEP GOING ANON.

recurring theme i've noticed in discussions about consciousness is people conflating three very different things: empirical evidence vs. conclusive proof - evidence doesn't have to establish something with absolute certainty to be valid. direct observation vs. empirical evidence - just because we can't directly observe another person's subjective experience doesn't mean we can't gather evidence of it through neuroscience, behavior, and self-report. a complete definition vs. the ability to study a phenomenon - we don't need to fully understand what consciousness is or how it works to investigate it scientifically. not having all the answers doesn't mean we have no evidence.
people seem genuinely surprised to learn that empirical evidence of consciousness exists. it's not just a philosophical concept.

Any artist that is worried about their reputation more than their development is just being a bitch, or a dick.
