“we will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.” Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.

Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin. apnews.com/article/russia-sa…

Another good explanation of why it's either this federal permitting reform bill, or nothing until at least 2029, if ever. It's fine to oppose the bill on merits. But let's dispense with the pretense there's some better deal waiting in January 2027. There is not. If you oppose the bill, you support the status quo for the foreseeable future. Defend and own that position.
I agree with every word of this. I’ll add that @RepHuffman will chair the House natural resources committee if Dems win the majority and thus will have the pen on writing the next climate and energy agenda, including trying to change elements of BAAJA he doesn’t like. But if you kill BAAJA now, you’re back at square one—or worse, since you’ll have alienated all the negotiators who secured this deal. If/when Dems take the majority, instead of moving forward, you’ll be picking up the pieces of this deal on the pretty thin hope that you can write an entirely new and better one, and somehow get Trump to sign it when he’ll have zero incentive to do so. The clear move here—including the best way to set Dems up for success next Congress—is to take this (quite strong) deal and hit the ground running next Congress to do more.

I know Americans can’t be bothered to care much about the international order unless it has direct personal financial consequences, but my god this is shameful for our country. A cost that can’t be measured in dollars.
The signals from the Trump administration are clearer than ever: Putin is allowed to keep killing Ukrainians

Seneca warned that Rome’s bloody spectacles corrupted the people who watched them. A civilization erodes when it cultivates an appetite for executions as a form of entertainment. Secretary Hegseth’s plan to livestream the Fort Hood execution risks feeding that appetite. The victims deserve justice administered with solemnity. Broadcasting a death diminishes us and is not an effective deterrent. I urge him to reconsider.

Over the years, the clean energy industry and environmental groups have drifted further apart. As the industry grew up, it didn’t need to lean on the organizing power of enviros. The split screen reactions of green groups and clean energy to the permitting reform bill illustrate just how far apart these two groups have come.

Did the Packers make any positive changes from last season’s collapse? How does this front office and coaching staff spend an entire offseason not addressing the O Line? The only improvement from last season to this one appears to be the kicker

There is no better example I can think of how Trump isn’t a steward of America or remotely patriotic or even nationalistic. He is simply a partisan of his own ego. This is just gross. He’s trying to suck up to a dictator and adversary by mocking another American president. And, btw, the anonymous functionary running this account will be remembered as a tiny little throne-sniffing weasel.
"This is the autopen... it's Biden." 🤣 President Trump shows off the legendary Presidential Walk of Fame to President Xi.

Two weeks ago, SEIA recapped the major records that solar and storage set in 2026: seia.org/blog/6-records-sola… Last week, 3 of them were broken once again. Solar and storage are breaking records faster than we can keep up... and that's been critical to keeping the lights on.
Two Texas grid records today: Highest demand ever: 87, 340 megawatts at 4:45pm CT (beating the record by nearly 2 GW) New solar record at 34,665 MW The two go together! When it's extremely hot, as it often is in Texas, demand and solar production both shoot upward. #txenergy 1/

Supporting private property rights can't come with an exception for solar. Farmers should be free to choose solar to earn income, keep farms in the family, and generate energy that America depends on. Great piece from @LimitGovt's Robert Romano: washingtonexaminer.com/op-ed…

Much of the solar and storage boom is happening in so-called red states. It’s not about politics. It’s about economics and meeting huge demand quickly.

Choosing 7 a.m. is like judging rush-hour traffic at 4 a.m. At PJM’s 2nd-highest demand ever (~6 p.m.), solar was still producing 11.5 GW (7.1%) after topping 13 GW earlier that day. That’s with a fraction of the solar Texas has. One snapshot isn’t the whole story.
As we approach peak electricity demand in the 13-state Mid-Atlantic region, at 7am this morning less than six percent of electricity generation was coming from renewables. Over 91 percent of generation is coming from gas, nuclear and coal—keeping our air conditioners blasting.

China added over 543 Gigawatts to their grid last year. 434 GW was renewables because they are faster to build. The U.S. added a paltry 53 GW. We are losing the “AI race” to China because these idiots hate green energy. This is suicide by stupid.
I'm thrilled to report that after 35 years, on July 4th, we will end the subsidies for new wind and solar projects, thanks President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut.
