After presenting at the @hospiceuk conference in November, our abstract has now been published in the British Medical Journal. Very cool to be sharing #ABCD work & generative evaluation methods.

I'm often surprised by how many change & improvement leaders don't know about (or don't use) Liberating Structures. They are a set of 30+ ways of working with groups that enable us to include everyone, in innovative ways, to produce results within a short amount of time. Liberating Structures can change the way we meet, plan, decide & relate to one another. You don't need to be an expert facilitator. They can be used by anyone. They are freely available. I use Liberating Structures constantly in my own practice. In the last week, I've used 1-2-4-All & 15% Solutions. Learn more here: liberatingstructureslondon.o…. Liberating Structures were developed by @KeithMcCandless & Henri Lipmanowicz. Graphic from @liberators_the

When people who care about people & communities gather together, the real power is in all the relational connections to be made. Between people, ideas, possibilities. Power which flows in between and enables those possibilities to happen. Not power to control or rescue or direct.

I believe in the power of working relationally. And I know how exhausting it can be. Some solitary space, therefore, feels essential. Space for personal reflection on what it takes and how to bring myself more fully to the collective work.

Joined some brilliant folk in Glasgow tonight for the first #ABCDCircle - a gathering of people who see the benefits in a “community centred future” coming together to “learn, share & make mischief.”
Thanks to those who pulled this together - great discussions. @ScottishABCD
