It's a sad casualty of the new era.
I vividly remember when StackOverflow went live. Jeff Atwood and Joel Spolsky became developer superstars. They blogged and even did a popular podcast as they scaled the site. But the era of asking strangers technical questions and waiting for a response is over.

At one point, my AI agents were giving me nearly nine hours of reading a day. Building your own AI software factory, 11 of 21 🧵

No system should cause unnecessary work. If it does, you'll learn to tune it out, miss what matters, and head down the road to burnout. Shape your system to the tone, detail, and format that work best for you, so it feels refreshing, manageable, and exciting.

Your turn: you can ask for anything. "Talk to me like a beginner", "just the key points", "bullet points only". Whatever format you prefer, just ask! Don't get lost in long, wordy replies when AI is so good at communicating in the way that fits you best.

You can't guess a recipe just by looking. Snap any dish and get the ingredients, nutrition facts and every step. Don't wing it. Snap it. whatdish.link/WD2HRKP6

One of my biggest breakthroughs came when I was on vacation. More on that below. Building your own AI software factory, 10 of 21 🧵

It's really fun (and productive) to come back from a busy day, a night's sleep, or a vacation to tickets that are fixed and replied to as well as I would have done it, or better. I've done it a few times since. The more we can trust our systems, the more we can step back.

Whatever system you use, make sure your AI agents can read tickets, comment on them, and create new ones. Tell them to write at your testers' level, technical or not, with just enough detail to be useful. Then let them do the hard work.

Everyone interviews their fridge, right?
We asked the fridge. It had thoughts. 🧊 Snap your fridge and WhatDish shows you what you can cook tonight with what's already there. whatdish.link/DETMPHU8

How far would you go for a restaurant's secret recipe? Disguise, bribe, sneak into the kitchen… or just snap it with WhatDish. Which plan would you try? whatdish.link/MAJUXZQU
