⚠️Erin is expected to produce life-threatening surf and rip currents along the beaches of the Bahamas, much of the east coast of the U.S., Bermuda, and Atlantic Canada during the next several days.

Texas is blaming the NWS for the weather changing from the original forecast. The 3 satellites that DoD stopped allowing NOAA to access data from on June 30, were specifically designed to monitor rapid intensification like what occurred. If you want to point fingers, start there.

Here's a wild stat:
An astonishing 23% of the Contiguous U.S. was at least 5°F above normal for the entire Meteorological Winter 2023-2024.
Only 1% was below normal.
A temperature rollercoaster for North Texas! A warmer weather Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 60s. A cold front will cool us down Friday - Sunday. Followed by a stronger front dropping Highs into the 20s Monday and bringing a chance of snow flurries.

I sometimes shy away from showing models beyond 7 days out... I know it can be beneficial to have the extra heads up. But I also know that snow is a touchy subject, so I don't wanna disappoint.
That said, next Monday is now in the 7-day and the Euro is doubling down. At one point it was leaning ice. Now it's leaning snow.
