We believe our comments will help to shape the upcoming regulation of the use of crypto-assets in line with fundamental rights, as well as the new AML/CFT Regulation of the EU , declarations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Security and Co-Operation in Europe, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) members, regarding combating financial exclusion, supporting civil society and humanitarian efforts which have already been adopted. All of them have taken into account the positive role that PoW mechanisms (i.e., Bitcoin and stablecoins) can play in supporting socially useful goals.
