It is also theoretically possible that aberrant UGT mediates aberrant glucuronidations contributing to toxicity but we did not see any evidence. 2/2
Hi Hiren, that is an excellent point. Regarding UGTs, we've thought about them but have not looked extensively. They do not seem to comprise a significant 'sink' that consumes the aberrant accumulation of UDPGA. 1/2
I'm incredibly thrilled to announce my first-author publication in @Nature . I would like to thank all my collaborators and specially @NamgyuLee1 , @chrashwood , @KarlSimin , @cholsoon_jang , @lab_mercurio , @MarianWalhout, @JBSpinelli my PI and Dohoon Kim.

Today I celebrate the publication of the research paper I have worked hard to develop for the past 4 years. Next up, thesis defense- PhD here I come! Most importantly: I could not have done this without my family, friends, and lab mates. Congratulations, Kim Lab! 🎉🎉🎉

🚨BREAKING: preliminary data from an ongoing clinical study of #remdesivir showed that in 113 patients with severe #COVID19:
▶️Fever/symptoms rapidly improved
▶️Most discharged within 6 days
▶️2 died (1.8%), much less than expected for severe #COVID19

As expected, data emerges to explain observations of #COVID19 “reinfection”—here, most patients who were ”redetected positive” were actually never truly negative. Plus reinfection cannot be rampant if family members living together successively infect each other but all recover.
