Tom Nelson Podcast #440: James Kamis: “El Nino/La Nina system generated by geological forces” is now published. Geologist James Kamis argues El Niño and La Niña are generated by geological forces near a stationary Pacific Ring of Fire source, not primarily by trade-wind shifts. Citing cone-shaped warming/cooling patterns, helium concentrations as volcanic indicators, burst-like heat “blobs,” sharp temperature boundaries, centuries of recorded events, seafloor volcanoes, hydrothermal vents, trenches, and methane hydrate “ice rocks,” he proposes magma heat melts hydrates to create La Niña cooling and continued heating yields El Niño warming. He compares related phenomena (El Padre/La Madre), points to rapid North Atlantic warming linked to a spreading center, and says volcanic impacts may be underestimated in climate studies. He calls for more seafloor mapping and denser Argo buoy coverage. 00:00 Meet the Geologist 01:14 Geology Behind ENSO 03:09 Why Wind Theory Fails 05:16 Volcanic Evidence 10:18 Ring of Fire Origins 11:05 Ocean Floor Revealed 12:20 Undersea Volcanoes 14:20 Hydrothermal Heat Engine 16:09 Faults and Quakes 17:19 Methane Hydrates Model 20:01 Source Area Deep Dive 21:46 La Niña Mechanics 23:33 Analog Events Worldwide 27:29 Atlantic Heat Spike 29:27 Climate Change Impacts 33:25 Wrap Up and Q&A

A bar tender wrote the worst possible, most expensive 10-year federal mobilization framework in climate change nut history, to address climate change economic inequality.😆 Congress is overrun by socialist idiots.😑
Replying to @atensnut
But she achieved bar tender before she was put in congress. So, there's that.

Sea Level Rise (SLR) started thousands of years ago, but is there any sign of acceleartion?
Sea-level Acceleration is a Total FRAUD There is no GMSL (global mean sea level). Sea level is a local quantity set by local geoid, local vertical land motion, local currents, local atmospheric pressure, local salinity and local temperature. Averaging height readings across an ocean with 100+ meters of real geoid variation produces a number with no physical referent, same category error as GMST (global mean surface temperature). The satellites cannot measure the fiction either. Jason/TOPEX orbit altitude is 1336 km. Claimed trend precision is tenths of a millimeter per year. That is one part in 10^10 on a platform whose orbit determination, wet troposphere correction, dry troposphere correction, ionosphere correction, sea-state bias, inverse barometer correction, tide model, and pole tide correction each dwarf the claimed signal by orders of magnitude. Then the splicing. TOPEX to Jason-1 to Jason-2 to Jason-3 to Sentinel-6. Each handoff gets a bias adjustment chosen by the processing team. The TOPEX-A drift correction alone was retroactively changed in 2017 and manufactured an apparent acceleration of roughly 0.05–0.1 mm/yr² overnight. Then GIA (glacial isostatic adjustment). Add 0.3 mm/yr for a modeled rebound of ocean basins nobody measured. Then the reference frame. ITRF (international terrestrial reference frame) updates shift the entire baseline. Ten-plus modeled steps, every one of them a knob turned by the same people reporting the result. The producers know every step is a human choice NOT physics. THIS IS THE ANATOMY OF A FRAUD.

Yes, humans don't really have control over nature, but we have done some cloud seeding. And that does cause rain to fall. But it certainly has nothing to do with the burning of fossil fuels.

Not a surprise, as Congress is a constitutionally established federal legislative branch of organized crime syndication today in the business of funding smaller organized crime syndicates and Omar simply represents the Somali division of their interests. 🤔😉 It all makes sense.

Water vapor (WV) increases in the atmosphere are likely due to more SW radiation absorption in oceans (decrease in stratocumulus clouds) and then warmer air holds more WV. Clouds form more often under higher galactic cosmic ray (GCR) fluxes can enhance ion-induced nucleation of new aerosol particles under certain conditions. WV is the strongest greenhouse gas in terms of total infrared absorption which is controlled by temperature which I believe so too is CO2 for the most part over decades. WV has been increasing by about 1% per decade, meaning overall temperatures are either increasing or that there have been less stratocumulus clouds, which has been confirmed by CERES data. I believe that higher solar activity cycles have a strong effect on the number of cloud formations on earth. But I also believe cloud seeding is an ongoing operation. We used this in Vietnam during the war. So, it's been around for some time and has likely been improved since the 1970. So, there is also some of that, but we don't know to what extent the government uses this, if at all.

"The collapse of West Antarctica could add several meters to sea level." Agreed that the ice sheet could be sensitive to ocean heat, that sensitivity has operated in past warm intervals, and the present episode began under a mix of natural variability and later anthropogenic influence might have a slight effect; however, the evidence does not support this assertion and natural variability appears to be the most likely cause.

While Antarctica is not uniformly “getting cooler,” and the main process driving its contribution to sea level rise is not surface air-temperature melting. I don't know the Russian word for Bull Shit but let's say it's bullshitolia. While I agree that the evidence is fairly uniform that Antarctica has been a net contributor to sea-level rise for thousands of years, it has been dominated by West Antarctica (especially the Amundsen Sea sector: Thwaites, Pine Island, and nearby glaciers). As far as I know the dominant mechanism in the Amundsen sector is ocean-driven basal melting of floating ice shelves by relatively warm Circumpolar Deep Water. This thins the shelves, reduces buttressing, and lets grounded ice flow faster into the ocean. It does not require warm surface air temperatures over the ice sheet. Surface mass balance (snowfall minus melt/runoff) can even be positive while dynamic discharge dominates the net loss. But as far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with your imaginary anthropogenic warming.

Not a Trump fan, but there does seem to be an effort to lie and destroy Trump.
