A very exciting document from circa 1913 detailing @UnionCollege’s wish to build a John Bigelow Memorial Hall in memory of one of their most notable alumni. Sadly, the project never moved forward. John’s son, Poultney, mailed the announcement to a family friend.

The Bigelow team discovered something exciting! Some student workers found a letter with catchwords! The letter is dated March 24, 1890 and was sent from John A.C. Gray to John Bigelow.

A tricky little ploy by Miss Grace Bigelow! Circa 1865, Grace crafted a note, seemingly written by her mother Jane, promising to give to "give my daughter Grace a new black silk dress to her liking and choice in less than a week."
