Well folks, the block thing is a pretty damn good excuse to get off Twitter. I'm gonna do my best to ramp down here and ramp up elsewhere. If you enjoy my insights on TTRPGs, play reports, and other dumb stuff I say, please follow me on other socials!
tonight in my elfgame, the gang used well-earned downtime to build a castle, give an owlbear sapience and put out word they were for hire. They took a job from a fey to reclaim a lost city from a mysterious curse that kills you if you know about it...and began researching

high-trust tables and building deep emotional play connections are so important for avoiding burnout

if all you do is playtest ttrpgs and/or stream playing ttrpgs, i strongly deeply passionately encourage you to take some of the people you trust most and gather together and play for the sake of playing for a bit
In tonight’s apocalypse game, the Hardholder sailed a ship to the womb of the world’s psychic maelstrom and sent the Gunlugger down. The Battlebabe kidnapped her (unwilling) mother from her father’s abusive regime, and the Gunlugger chose his lover over the call of the void
Sorry but this session was so good it’s getting three tweets: the Gunlugger wears a mask all the time and to get him into the diving suit his lover had to take it off. As she was doing it, I said “is this sex? We’re triggering the sex move.” And it fucking ruled
This is why I immediately disengage from an RPG discussion the instant someone utters the word "immersion"
Once, consulting for a friend’s police procedural RPG, she needed names for five stats. I said they should all be body parts that complete the sentence “the kid’s got ___ but he’s a loose cannon” and got Heart, Guts, Brains, Muscle, and Nerve and I’ll never be that good again
Today in SCUP, the Chef held a banquet for the Gauntlet's 100 ronin stolen from the Spur (who snuck in), the Hex joined the pirate queen to steal a ship from the fantasy Italians, and the Crown signed away the right to sell spirits from the land he's invading
Tonight in blades, the crew’s TWO imprisoned Slides ran a con to get back on the streets, then the crew made a deal with a fire demon to keep the Doskvol civil war going by feeding a cop and an imperial to a miasma monster. The Hull also blasted an EMP that killed four dudes
tonight in my elf game, the party reclaimed a castle from their earliest sessions as a SECOND stronghold, now with a cult of drunken goblins! Then ransomed a slain dragon's corpse back to its servants in exchange for The Hoard, which they will immediately spend on renovations
tonight in my apocalypse game, the Hardholder tried to bring the gladiators whose boss he murdered into the fold, the Battlebabe thought her mentor died in a car compactor, freaked out and punched her dad, and the increasingly freaky Gunlugger can now teleport AND shapeshift
today in SCUP, the Chef and the Gauntlet tacked onto the growing Love Polygon, the Crown received a prophecy while conceiving his heir, the Gauntlet bought out the Spur's militia from under him, and the Hex and his masked patron busted the Spur out from the dungeons
today in my dragon game, a climactic fight with the big boss who serves the son of the god of death! The big hero shot him in the chest with a magic revolver, and TWO sudden but inevitable betrayals resulted in the extremely evil tome getting stolen by a PC's adopted daughter
tonight in blades, the Leech learned from the Slide that the Vampire sacrificed his aunt in their ritual to snatch Lord Strangford's body, then both got arrested. The Whisper obliterated some cops to save the Leech and brokered THREE deals with her demon. The crew is FRACTURING
in today's elfgame, a tense negotiation with an emissary of the elf kingdom led to the party giving up the wizard's amnesiac mentor/lover in exchange for a stay of execution and NOT becoming enemies of the state. In lighter news, the paladin turned his horse into a pegasus
