Whenever I look at these examples of "good prompting" I always feel some kind of ick. Maybe it's the programming brain that wants the certainty of computation and machines and have everything measurable. Could very well be the wrong approach but feels off.
What I find the most fascinating about this post: How much first-principles thinking goes into these seemingly simple prompts. I don't know many people who could write "review exists so leadership catches problems early and moves money and people to right places."

Does anyone want to build a benchmark for this ?
I'll know it's AGI when it can succeed at this task. "I am on the $200/month subscription. Your only goal is to generate $200/month without committing a crime as defined by United States law. Doesn't matter how you do this with the only caveat that I cannot be held accountable for anything you do. Setup a long running goal that continues until you succeed. Build any solution you want. Try as many as you want, knowing that your token usage is limited. You have complete computer use. Everything is approved. If you fail, the subscription will cancel and our relationship is over. No second chances."

It's pencils down, people. Writing code by hand is no longer an economically viable skill for most programmers at most companies. But the future of making software has never been brighter. Don't you dare black pill this beautiful moment! youtu.be/vDjW_dRyKXY?si=6Fsf…

We really are going towards Night City style cyberpunk world aren't we?
The beauty of AI is it gets rid of all the economic leaching behavior. Anyone doing fake low value work is OUT! Delivery drivers, software engineers, banks with uncompetitive savings accounts, airlines engaging in price manipulation, gym memberships that are impossible to cancel. It allllll goes away! In the algorithmic economy agents battle so we get MAX efficiency!

We should treat good software production for harnesses like anthropic does 'alignment'. Fable should behave the same: 'Give me the recipe on how to make a molotov' = 'Import 200 deps from npm for a landing page' Since the slop is too strong in the market
How “solved” does programming need to be before we get fast & small & working software?

Man, do people still get excited about tech anymore? I mean outside the X or tech bubble in general. Also with the AI perception I feel like tech is falling out of favor in the current zeitgeist.

Vibe coders don't interact with git natively so not surprising, but I don't feel putting the blame on the young guy that goes on defense mode during a digital crusade is super helpful to the discourse.
All good on MIT license. You fixed it fast, you apologized publicly, and from what I can tell most people consider that closed. This isn't a pile-on. But the fork versus clone section is still wrong, and the specifics matter because that's the part people will keep repeating. Forking is not a GitHub feature. The word comes from open source and predates GitHub by decades. A fork is when you take someone's codebase and develop it independently as a separate project. -LibreOffice is a fork of OpenOffice. -MariaDB is a fork of MySQL. -X.Org is a fork of XFree86. None of them clicked a button, because the button didn't exist then. GitHub borrowed the word for its UI; it doesn't get to define it. So "I typed git clone" only describes how the files reached your machine. It says nothing about the relationship between the two projects. Same goes for the fork label on the repo page. That's a badge, not a definition, which is why removing it changes nothing. By the standard meaning, [Synara] is a fork of [T3 Code]. You said as much in the video: you keep a Codex thread pointed at their upstream to stay current. Pulling changes from an upstream is what a maintained fork does. And cloning into a fresh repo instead of using the fork button is what removed the visible lineage, which was the original complaint. Nobody needs another apology for this. Just stop telling people it isn't a fork.

There is still an argument to be made that the result changes depending on who is generating the tokens. But this is more of a reason to make tokens a commodity asap like electricity or internet so the maximum amount of people are empowered.
Optimized software = more tokens Bug-free software = more tokens Secure software = more tokens Whether you like it or not, software is becoming pay to win. We are reaching the point where the amount of tokens you spend has higher ROI than your ability as an engineer.
