The libraries in our school are often the beating heart of our community. We won't let cuts take them away from us!

The rest of the response

Our second response is from the SNP candidate for the area @PGibsonSNP

First up @ToddFergusonNAA, from the Scottish conservatives.

WE SAVED OUR SCHOOL LIBRARIES kinda ... Yesterday at a council meeting it was unanimously decided by councillors that the implementation of the redesigned service will be DELAYED till January to allow for proper consultation to occur 1/6

This is why school libraries matter. Anyone can see the impact they have on our education, they help expand our knowledge and offer a safe space for all, this is why we need to save them. @LiamMcIlvanney thanks so much for your support. 1/2

Yesterday the council seemed quite surprised when members of our group turned up to a council meeting to show how serious our group is when it comes to our libraries! #YouthEmpowerment #youthaction #Reading

A small group of us had a fantastic morning talking to @WestFM about saving our school libraries and what will happen to them if we don't save them. #Youthaction

Headteachers, staff and pupils were not even asked about closing school libraries. The council decided without even thinking about the impact. For a council which says it champions young people how can they do this ?? @Chloe_SNP_ #action #WorldBookDay2024

This #WorldBookDay we are making posters to spread awareness that @North_Ayrshire is planning to close all school libraries. This will do nothing to help youth education and wellbeing in the area. We demand action! @WorldBookDayUK #action
