Ahead of tomorrow’s World Tourism Day celebrations in Mbale and alongside @SautiPlus’ COO, Humphrey Kyamba, I just had an insightful conversation with @TourismBoardUg’s @JulzKagwa about how @ikonawards, @reachahand, and Sauti Plus can deepen our collaboration with UTB to further market Destination Uganda through film.
We discussed the barriers keeping Uganda from leveraging its natural beauty to become a leading film destination, and what lessons we can learn from Kenya and Tanzania around promoting local content.
She shared some provocations around how our film industry can learn from Ugandan music and sports to command a stronger presence in the national conversation.
