Meta & Microsoft Earnings - The Big Picture: Aggressive AI Infrastructure Expansion Continues Both tech giants confirmed they are not pulling back on AI investments. Instead, both management teams signaled increased capital expenditures through FY27 to keep pace with infrastructure demands. Meta Platforms (Q2 2026) Earnings Snapshot: Revenue beat at $60.80B (+28% YoY), but EPS missed at $6.18 due to rising AI operational costs and legal charges. CapEx Detail: Spent $31.1B in Q2 alone—more than double its Q2 2025 level ($17.0B). Raised the lower bound of FY26 CapEx guidance to $130B–$145B (up from $125B–$145B). Management Commentary: Mark Zuckerberg and CFO Susan Li reiterated that compute availability remains Meta’s primary growth constraint, stating that the risk of being compute-constrained outweighs the risk of building capacity ahead of demand. Management explicitly guided that CapEx will grow further in 2027, anchored by long-term infrastructure commitments—including a $12B data center project in Texas partnered with BlackRock. Microsoft (Q4 FY26) Earnings Snapshot: Clean double beat with Revenue of $90.0B (+18% YoY) and EPS of $4.74 non-GAAP (+23% YoY). Azure growth accelerated to 43% YoY. CapEx Detail: Q4 CapEx reached $41B, pushing full-year FY26 CapEx past $145B. Management guided Q1 FY27 CapEx to exceed $50B in a single quarter. Management Commentary: CFO Amy Hood highlighted that commercial AI demand still significantly exceeds available compute capacity, requiring continuous spending to unlock revenue growth. Satya Nadella noted that ~66% of CapEx is tied to short-term monetizable assets (CPUs/GPUs) that convert to revenue as soon as they are racked, while confirming Microsoft added 88 new data centers in FY26.

The ultimate cause of markets not able to sustain higher highs. I feel preliminary earnings are still trying to giving some cushion on the downside. Waiting for TACO because if the yields reach 5, we are doomed at least on the US side And if the oil persists at this level our upside will be very limited in the best case.

Aehr's record bookings and robust outlook reinforce that the AI infrastructure cycle is still accelerating. AI chips → Silicon photonics → Optical interconnects → Fiber demand. That's a positive read-through for optical networking names like $AAOI, $CIEN, $LITE, $GLW, and, in India, #STLTECH. Not a direct catalyst for any one company, but another strong data point that AI/DC infrastructure spending remains healthy.msn.com/en-us/money/topstock…

#SA FIRST, THEN SETUPS When @PradeepBonde introduced the concept of #SituationalAwareness in trading, he emphasized two critical layers: a) What is the market doing, and what is likely to happen next? b) What does that mean for my trading objectives? Which setups are likely to have a higher probability of working in this environment? Most traders fail to connect these two layers. They may have a view on the market, but they never ask how that view should influence the setups they trade. The core reason is simple, they only know one setup. Every evening, they run the same two or three scans, go through every stock one by one, and try to match each chart against a visual template stored in their memory. Whatever matches gets shortlisted. If nothing matches, they simply sit out. That defeats the whole purpose. This is a technical flaw, and no amount of hard work can compensate for it. Instead, spend five minutes every evening asking yourself: a) What is happening in the market? b) What is the most probable outcome? c) If that outcome unfolds, which setups are most likely to work? Let me explain this with yesterday's example. Step 1 – What is happening in the market? Yesterday evening, the market sold off sharply following renewed Middle East tensions and Trump's comments about potentially cancelling the deal. The news triggered an abrupt decline. Step 2 – What can happen next? Before jumping to possible scenarios, ask yourself one more question: Does this issue still have the ability to significantly impact the market? In my view, the market has already largely discounted this issue. Therefore, the probability is much higher that such news will only trigger occasional knee-jerk reactions rather than a sustained decline. Whatever scenarios we consider should be viewed through this lens. Now, let's get into two broad possibilities: a) TACO - Tough Talks, No Action. The more probable outcome. If the market senses that the rhetoric won't translate into action, it is likely to recover quickly and open higher. b) An actual escalation – A much less probable outcome. It could trigger panic initially, but since this issue has largely lost its ability to exert sustained pressure on the market, even such a sell-off would likely be followed by a reversal. Step 3 – Which setups are most likely to work? Since the thesis is to play for a recovery, the highest-probability opportunities are likely to come from three types of setups: a) Momentum Suppression These are stocks that were showing excellent momentum before the news hit. The sudden market-wide sell-off abruptly interrupted their advance, creating an opportunity. My first priority is these stocks, with the objective of finding a Wick Play entry. If the market opens strong, the probability of a sharp recovery in these names is very high. Examples: #IOLCP, #BALAMINES One important point: don't settle for mediocre setups here. Find the absolute best momentum stocks and focus on those. These are my favorite setups in the event of a strong opening. b) Strong Closings These are the wild ones - stocks that remained largely unfazed by the market sell-off. Their momentum was so strong that even the broader market couldn't make much of a dent. Whether the market opens strong or weak, these can often be traded as D2 entries. A gap-down reversal offers the best risk-reward, as it provides an excellent entry while the underlying strength remains intact. Examples: #UNICHEMLAB, #SGMART c) Extended Declines These are stocks that were already in momentum but experienced a sharp, fast sell-off, leaving them looking stretched on the downside. They can work well in both scenarios. A gap-up open signals immediate recovery, while a market-wide gap-down followed by a reversal can create a powerful slingshot move. Examples: #IKIO, #QUADFUTURES, #HEXAGON, #IXIGO #KERNEX I hope this framework and these examples help you understand how I approach stock selection, especially on days when market conditions and news flow play an important role. Merging Situational Awareness with your setups - or better yet, identifying the SA first and then selecting the appropriate setups - can significantly improve the quality of your trades. Later today, I'll try to upload a video from yesterday's @tradetm_org workshop, where we went through the stock selection and prioritization process in real time. I hope that helps you see the live implementation of the framework explained above.

I'm in the new Market Wizards book! This book series was a huge inspiration and motivation when I first read them in 2011 when I was struggling and being included myself is a massive honor, thanks to @jackschwager and @gfc4! I'm also very lucky that I found two trading communities early in my journey @PradeepBonde and @IUTraders that in hindsight turned out to be Market Wizard factories!
Market Wizards The Next Generation Quotes: I opened a paper trading account, and I doubled my money in two weeks. I thought I was all set. I started live trading, and in two months, I lost 90% of my money. - Kristjan Kullamagi @Qullamaggie 1/n lnk.to/marketwizardsnextgene…

Multiple companies reported slight slack due to March challenges and some of them might report some of same in Q1 too though supply chain has normalised mostly now. This creates an interesting opportunity to pick businesses which actually did very well in Fy26 but short term growth look falling off if one doesn’t acknowledge war challenges. As all war related price hikes are getting passed on and inventory pas through is done, at new bases most such companies will report higher sales due to RM price hikes and hopefully standard margins. Also export oriented services companies getting benefit of FX depreciation without affecting cost.

Snowflake and MongoDB both data infrastructure players in software industry had a beat this quarter and part of the reason was more development of AI agents and workflows by customers which lead to more usage of their core product being a data layer. Think enterprise adoption of AI is still in very early innings. SaaS companies will deploy AI powered products in enterprise stack with time and that would lead to more tokens consumption. This bodes well for AI value chain. Everything - training compute, inference compute, memory and downstream equipment players etc. This also bodes well for hyperscalers where we can expect to see similar increase in usage of their cloud resources by customers.

GE Vernova : What massive earnings upgrade can do . Even if someone bot at 600-800 PE during Oct-Nov 2023, that would have given more than 10x returns in less than 3 years . Here there is no PE rerating , infact PE derating ( if we take median 121 PE also) , but Explosive earnings growth . The point i want to harp on is Valuations doesnt matter much, what matters is future earnings and earnings growth potential 💡 Look fwd and try to understand the future earnings potential .
