Today, Amal Clooney filed a groundbreaking lawsuit in a US federal court against French conglomerate Lafarge. She represents over 400 Yazidi-Americans, including @NadiaMuradBasee, suing Lafarge for conspiring to provide material support to ISIS while they committed genocide against Yazidis. Lafarge paid millions of dollars to ISIS and another armed group in violation of U.S. law. Amal Clooney said "We hope that this case will send a clear message that supporting terrorists cannot be ‘business as usual’ and that there will be justice for the victims". This quote from @SarahFederman addresses a reality for some in South African conflict negotiation "Those navigating volatile contexts express concern that changing their position, even a little, can look like weakness. A reputation for weakness can make them more vulnerable. While we can help them see creative problem solving as a strength, those with whom they are negotiating might not see it that way. They need coaching on how to appear strong while being creative and flexible. This coaching ought to come from those with experience in these contexts."
