Here's me at the Eagle's Nest in 2014. I feel lucky to have seen this marvel then, and I'm saddened by the news that it was burned to the ground this week. The location inspired three chapters of my upcoming novel, so much so that Berchtesgaden and the surrounding region are home to its characters. It is one of Earth's truly beautiful places and I would go back in a heartbeat. I feel for the people of the area who thoughtfully remained custodians of its delicate history and will be reeling from the sudden loss of tourism. Glad to hear it's set to be rebuilt.

Most investors are excellent at buying and poor at selling. Profit taking is what turns paper gains into realised wealth, and it is hard for one reason: psychology. Greed and the fear of selling early both keep you in the position. Think in zones, not single prices. Scale out on a plan. Anchor exits to your goals, not the chart. Imperfect profit taking, done consistently, beats perfect profit taking that exists only in theory. Full blog in the reply below. #Crypto #CryptoEducation #CryptoInvesting

I expect bitcoin to likely hit $1m by the end of 2028, for a few reasons now. 1) Superintelligent, uncontrollable AI swarms are going to operate on the internet as rogue actors. 2) These superintelligent AIs will extract all digital alpha (spin up digital businesses) and will need somewhere to store profits. 3) Every company operating digitally will need a way to impose a cost on rogue AI swarms to prevent them from hacking them, and that can only be done by making the AI expend a real cost to attempt an attack. That cost is Proof of Work. 4) The impact of superintelligence on white collar jobs will be faster and more severe than almost anyone currently expects, because on both the value and cost side it is orders of magnitude better than a human employee. 5) Western governments are functionally bankrupt and we are rapidly approaching a sovereign debt crisis. Central banks will try to print more money than ever before to paper over the cracks but this will just cause more inflation. 6) As all of this is happening, we will reach a tipping point triggered by social media. There are various potential catalysts for this, but one likely candidate is the rogue superintelligent AIs triggering bank runs, either through massive cyberattacks that take banking services offline for days or weeks, or AI agents simply being so good at financial management that the average Normie just tells it to 'make me the most money possible'. The first thing it will do is reallocate that person's bank deposits which yield barely anything. The bank needs those deposits to operate. It won't have them much longer. 7) Potential threats to the cryptography Bitcoin uses are almost irrelevant, because the game theoretical optimal outcome is for the superintelligence to fix them itself because it understands 1-6 and gets that Bitcoin is its only lifeline digitally. When you take all of these expected events combined, you end up with what I call: Exponential Bitcoin Convergence. EBC arrives the same day superintelligence arrives and is diffused amongst the population, and it sends Bitcoin to $1m minimum.

GOLDMAN: GULF OIL EXPORTS FULLY RECOVER TO 2025 LEVELS Persian Gulf oil exports have doubled in September, reaching 23.3 million barrels per day, according to Goldman Sachs. Crude shipments have recovered to 108% of their 2025 average, but key refined products, including diesel and jet fuel, remain at just 50% amid refinery outages and shipping risks. Goldman sees the global oil market roughly balanced and maintains its $85 Brent forecast for year-end.
