Nairobi is getting ready to welcome the world for IGF 2026.
It was a pleasure to chair a logistics and venue meeting and welcome colleagues from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Secretariat and our Local Host Committee for a visit to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Our preparations are focused on delivering an accessible, inclusive and welcoming forum, with the facilities and coordination needed for meaningful participation from across the world.
Kenya is ready to host IGF 2026 on 14–18 December 2026, bringing governments, industry, civil society, academia and the technical community together to shape the future of the Internet.
Thank you to all colleagues working together to make this possible. We look forward to welcoming you to Nairobi!

Another error we made with public transport is that we allowed them too close to homes. Every country I've been to with proper public transport you have to walk/cycle to board where they are. That keeps residentials liveable. In Kenya we want the boda/mats to come to our bedroom
