Today, I joined Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Hon. Rebecca Miano, Principal Secretary for Correctional Services, Dr. Salome Muhia-Beacco, among other leaders at the Correctional Service Week 2026 Gala Dinner and Excellence Awards Ceremony in Nairobi.
I challenged Kenya Prisons to revive Green Berets Fc team and pledged FKF’s support with football equipment to help bring the team back to life.
Football is a powerful tool for nurturing talent, promoting discipline and supporting rehabilitation. FKF is committed to working with stakeholders to restore the proud legacy of Kenya Prisons football and the rehabilitation of inmates through the power of the game.

Ufanisi Group in Kombi, Bungoma County, is transforming its livestock farming through the Kenya Livestock Commercialization Project (KeLCoP).
The group received 11 Dorper sheep as breeding stock, which have since multiplied into a growing flock. Through a passover breeding system, members share the improved breeds, expanding livestock ownership and strengthening their livelihoods.
Beyond livestock, training in animal husbandry, nutrition, environmental conservation and household planning has improved farming practices and household wellbeing. Members have also established cone gardens to improve nutrition and generate additional income.
KeLCoP has reached 83,963 households, with 60,139 adopting improved technologies and practices, 44,971 producers accessing inputs and technology packages, and 10,433 people trained in business management and income-generating activities.
Building productive livestock enterprises and transforming rural livelihoods.

Today, I paid a courtesy visit to IOM Kenya the International Organization for Migration, the UN agency leading on migration management to explore potential areas of collaboration with the Football Kenya Federation.
I held discussions with Ms. Nomagugu Ncube, Chief of Mission, IOM Kenya, Mr. Ethan Way, Monitoring, Evaluation and Risk Management Officer, and Ms. Jennifer Githegi, Senior Associate, Policy and Coordination.
Given football's vast reach, we see a great opportunity to raise awareness on human trafficking, safeguard young players from exploitation through fraudulent overseas opportunities, and amplify safe migration messages within our communities.

On this Gogo issue! Which as you’d expect is fronted by the current FKF administration opposers, has no legs jos.
Unlike Sharks, Gogo have no grounds to complain on why they shouldn’t be relegated IMO.
The NSL league kicked off on 27th while the criteria for promotion and relegation were communicated to them and all other clubs on 23rd.
Sharks got everyone in trouble simply because this information was sent to them when the Sportpesa league had already started, on 19th.
Again, the use of 2019 rules on SportPesa League is as a court directive, as we all await the verdict of the appeal case filed by Sharks at the high court against the SDT ruling which validated 2025 rules.
Finally, NONE of the two sets of rules (2019 &2025) do not prescribe MANDATORY play offs. Both documents give NEC the powers to set relegation and promotion criteria for each season and that’s why NEC set the criteria.
