Meta took down the No Kings organizing page today - the biggest day of protest this fall. They provided zero explanation. It stayed down for the entire afternoon until most of the protests were done. Outrageous. Put this on the January investigation list.

Trump’s core 2024 promise was bringing down costs by being the energy president — “when you bring down energy costs, everything else falls.” The story of 2026 is that his energy policy, killing clean energy to make us dependent on oil, gas, and coal, has been a massive failure.

Trump is raising electricity costs by blocking low-cost clean energy, forcing grids to meet demand with high-cost fossil fuel units. Sucks for you; but Trump’s corrupt big fossil fuel donors make a bundle.

This is why I think baseball is the most exciting sport there is. That double crowd pop is so unique to it. No other sport has the buildup & subsequent release of tension that baseball does. There's nothing else like it, it simply can't be beat.

Want lower power bills? This bill makes data centers pay MORE than the costs they cause, and the surplus brings everyone else's rates down. It also lets states bring in FERC to oversee local spending and cut utility profits and levy fines when its' going wrong. It's good!
The data center language in the permitting deal is the best yet & isn't getting enough attention. As I've argued for, it goes beyond "fair share" & forces data centers to pay full costs they cause AND their share of the existing grid. That's *billions of $/year* for ratepayers.

Trump’s signature cost-of-living promise on the campaign trail was that he’d cut energy prices in half — now his “oil & gas only” energy policy is his single biggest failure, the biggest reason Republicans are losing. 3 of the 4 top pain points for people are energy costs.

Younger Gen X/Elder Millennials remain undefeated on being the right age when new technologies are implemented. The internet, phones, and now AI all hitting when we were old enough to not have our brains rotted by them, but young enough to skillfully adopt.
AI is a big W for 40-somethings. Old enough to have learned how to do things the right way, young enough to learn some new tricks.
