This is a gross injustice. Blind people cannot drive nor cycle. With floating bus stops they can no longer catch the bus because they can’t see nor hear fast moving cycles that don’t stop. mylondon.news/news/transport…

Archbishop of Canterbury forced to withdraw award given to Muslim cleric who praised Bin Laden. This absurd episode reveals appallingly poor judgement, inadequate due diligence and a dangerous naivety. 🗞️ We’re quoted 👇 dailymail.com/news/article-1…

No dedicated event for Transport @BBCLondonNews was held. We had a meeting after pointing this out but none held for everyone to attend. @MayorofLondon report needs to be withdrawn, rewritten & stop ignoring blind people’s concerns over floating bus stops.

#theBeeAt3 Basic bee facts every day at 3pm. 40. 80% of solitary bee species are mining #bees. They nest in the ground. To do this they must have access to bare soil. Help them - scrape back some soil/build a mound - south facing. And never use pesticides. Ever…ever! 🐝

Dear 'No replies @CllrSimonHogg ' Wandsworth Labour managed to spend a £205m reserve and created a £137m deficit over 4yrs. That's a £342m overspend in just 4Yrs. RE 'Fair Funding Review' your letter to the DPM. Best Wishes. nitter.cf/CllrSimonHogg/status/2…
WATCH: Wandsworth Tories have chosen to double your council tax. It’s outrageous. It’s stunning. People who don’t know how to run the council are panicking and making you pay the price. This increase is unfair, not necessary we oppose it - and as soon as we can Labour will scrap it. This is your choice, your decision. You own it. This is a cruel, selfish, political decision. And you’re seeking to blame everyone but yourselves. You have been dishonest. Every single figure you have quoted in this financial discussion was available before May. You had this information in front of you when you wrote your manifesto and when you spoke to voters in the election. It is absolutely wrong that you concealed your intention to double council tax. This is done with no mandate, no scrutiny. You are not putting it to a referendum of local people. This news will stun and appal local families. It’s so unnecessary. As I will explain, there is another way – our plan, backed by our record of smart financial management. And let’s not lose sight of the fact this is a product of Tory internal chaos. A leader who lasted 44 days, a new leader who caused two cabinet resignations, you lost the Trinity ward by-election and are now doubling Council Tax. Amateurs creating absolute chaos. Before I go into more detail I’d emphasise the key point: this isn’t over. This is not a done deal. We have until January. Join the campaign. Send them a message they can’t ignore

Labour Government: We're cutting your central grant by £84m. Local Labour councillor: The Tories are going to increase your council tax. It's outrageous and incompetent! (Also, it's 94%, not 190%. But then maths was never your thing).
Wandsworth Tories have just announced Britain’s biggest ever Council Tax rise. It’s outrageous, incompetent and unfair. The Tories will double your Council Tax next year
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This image incorrectly adds 100 percentage points to the rise in council tax. The proposed increase is ~90%, not ~190%. news.sky.com/story/wandswor…

A staggeringly dishonest tweet from Fleur Anderson
Under Labour Wandsworth had Britain’s lowest Council Tax. Wandsworth Conservatives just announced Britain’s biggest ever Council Tax rise - they will more than double it next year. They don’t need to do this - it is their choice. Sign the petition: wandsworthlabour.uk/council-…

Great. Britain is putting a man who backs Mauritius against Britain in as a judge on the ICJ. Because of course we are. The level of national self-harm by Britain’s elites is unreal. telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

.@MayorofLondon too scared to hear the truth about the impact of floating bus stops from Hyacinth, a blind Londoner from Tooting who is severely impacted by them. When will you get Lord Tooting & Hyacinth from Tooting together in the studio @BBCLondonNews?
Replying to @BBCLondonNews
Still waiting for the @MayorofLondon to meet Hyacinth as he promised on @BBCLondonNews. More and more floating bus stops are being built which are not safe or accessible for blind people. Really is poor show from the Mayor.

Guys. This Ukrainian grandma picked up a Russian drone waiting for its target and took off the optic fiber spool from it, making the drone useless. I'm speechless. She's amazing. God bless her.

Be aware, the $1 million/day is the T3DC index which is sort of a theoretical index right now. More information about TD3C in below thread :
1/x So, A small 🧵about something that is happening in shipping and the war in Iran is (sort of) to blame... or is it the conservatism of the Baltic Exchange? I'm going to talk about TD3C (not from Star Wars) and a pending lawsuit with consequences.

UPDATE: The Dutch Palestine Action fan who vandalised Winston Churchill’s statue with slogans like “Globalise the Intifada” and red triangles was just found NOT GUILTY of criminal damage. This country’s legal system is a nasty joke.

Yesterday @CatharineHoey asked an important question on the criteria for getting a public inquiry. My follow on - if the government doesn't want to fuel cynicism about inquiries being used to simply shut down public concerns, will it publish an audit of what recommendations are implemented and which aren't (and why)? The minister's reply was as clear as mud...

Public sector wages are rising faster than prices. A good return for all that money public-sector unions bunged Labour. Private sector wages are NOT rising faster than prices — and that’s a far bigger sector. If workers in the private sector bunged Labour a lot of money would they get bigger pay rises too?
📈🎉 Real wages are rising 📈🎉 Pay is growing faster than prices, and faster than last quarter. When workers have more cash, they spend more. And more spending means more growth.

Rayner is washing her hands, calling Matthew Pennycook Housing Secretary. Pennycook, given the right to attend Cabinet by Andy Burnham, has a reverse class chip. In awe of Big Money and its lawyers, he’s part of the procedure-obsessed liberal elite presiding over our decline.
‘You didn’t say it “very much depended” in your manifesto, you said you’d bring it to an end...’ @Lewis_Goodall presses Angela Rayner on Labour’s manifesto promise to 'bring the feudal leasehold system to an end’.
