Way to go, @CAPublicHealth & @CADeptEd for school #IAQ guidance that's been recognized as among the top "22 Public Health Accomplishments in 2024"‼️ But more resources are needed to ensure all school kids and workers have access to #CleanAir. @CAgovernor @GavinNewsom #caleg

What was trying to kill us in 2024, and how was it stopped? 22 Public Health Accomplishments in 2024! I couldn’t be more proud to be in public health. We continue to accomplish so much with so little, and the work is often invisible. Here’s to 2025. Happy New Year!

12/ I pulled more $bced absence data from FOIs (this should be public dashboard, ffs). Top 2 lines are Fall 2022 and Fall 2023. The kids are NOT ok. There is ZERO EVIDENCE of any 'hybrid immunity'. And comparing 2023 to 2022, there is ZERO evidence of 'immunity debt'. #bcpoli

A must-read from @pjavidan "Children have been the shock absorbers of the COVID-19 pandemic. Forcing families to choose between biosecurity & education is one of the great injustices of our time, violating children’s fundamental human rights to life, health, safety, & education."

At the bottom of every school form, I now include a footnote that school & district are not indemnified for COVID exposures they REFUSE to mitigate. They ARE aware of risks & tools - many parents've been providing them w literature. We HAVE to submit forms? They get a footnote.

Now wait a sec…I may be willing to put my lawyer hat back on for this. Becuz a waiver is a form of contract & it is facially invalid if not 1) reciprocal and 2) made w/informed consent. No reasonable person (legal test) would consent to a fatal virus in exchange for X purchase🤔

What would you do to protect your child? -Would you ask for clean air? -Would you ask for transparency about indoor air quality in schools? -Would you buy respirators for your child? -Would you bother to read about Covid? -Would you bother to protect them from Long Covid?

Nearly a 70% increase in excess deaths of younger Canadians….and INCREASING. This is the new normal 😱 Are you still going to send your kids to school without a good mask? What would be your limit? 2X increase, 3X increase?

I pulled out just ages 0-44 (no 0-19 is available). Then, I just looked at 2019 baseline and 2022 and 2023, since the 'blessing' of Omicron. And 😱😱😱 #COVID #SARSCoV2 #COVIDisNotOver #MasksWork #ExcessDeaths #cdnpoli #publichealth @GovCanHealth @bcndp

This is just one of thousands of threads I’ve written while doing domestic tasks in the home. Laundry. Loading the dishwasher. Our leadership is so unserious it can be taken to task by any parent who has paid attention and tried to get clean air in schools. 💔💔💔

As community transmission of measles in Canada is starting to ramp up, how far have schools progressed in providing #CleanAir in the past 4 years? Answer: gaslighting & denial persists instead of action. Gov’ts: you NEED to listen to activists who are keeping up w/ science. ⬇️
