You know me... always starting churches! 😜 Many women & gender creative folks want to connect with Spirit in community, but reject negative realities of institutional religion (racism, patriarchy, & queerphobias). We're launching @SacredSpace DC to connectβ€”follow for updates!

"On a recent Sunday, Rivky attended a monthly feminist gathering in Brooklyn called Sacred Space, which celebrates and empowers women of all and no religious backgrounds. Women of various ages flashed smiles." Powerful piece in @NBCNews/@NBCOUT today: nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/…

Closeted Hasidic trans woman inches closer to her 'feminine dream'

Rivky presents as a Hasidic Jewish man within her religious community, but she hopes one day to exit the proverbial closet.

Let me be clear. You are either racist or anti-racist. Those are the two choices. The latter meaning you are working everyday either emotionally or physically to dismantle the racisim that we all have been taught since day one in the United States. – at Burlington, NC

Churches will, too, send delegations to pray for the young people to be β€œnon-violent.” Respectfully tell them to create praying circles around the police if they want to help. Jesus overturned tables at the temple and stood up against an unjust empire. They too can do the same!

"Because, quite frankly, the Jewish world has cracked open some boxes, and created new access points. We should not want to go back. Let’s make sure that we bring the access that a virtual community offers to the physical world!" My piece for @jdforward: forward.com/opinion/445720/a… – at Manhattan, NY

Opinion | COVID has exploded Jewish LGBTQ acceptance online. There’s no going back.

When I think about the long-term impact COVID-19 is going to have on Jewish living, all of these experiences, and so many more, come to mind.

My Feminist Prayerβ€” from @SacredSpace todayπŸ™ Dear God, Mother of us all: At this time of great uncertainty we ache for ourselves & our siblings. We grieve the precious lives already lost. During the pandemic women, gender creative folks, & kids are more vulnerable than ever.
