Keep stems standing! Through winter at least! This pollinator garden continues to have attractive features with the shapes of plants highlighted by the snow. More importantly, wintering birds are feeding on the seed & other insects will be overwintering in the standing stems.

Lake Erie could use some love.
On Aug. 25, people can post their Lake Erie stories to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #WeAreLakeErie to create what organizers call “a virtual wave of support for the lake.”
