My name is Chris, and I’m an alcoholic.
Day 140.
It’s a sober Saturday, and I’m just grateful to be spending it with my family.
I used to think I needed alcohol to enjoy my weekends. Looking back, all it really did was take me away from the people I love most.
These days, the best part of Saturday is just being here. No hangover. No trying to piece together the night before. Just making memories with the people who matter most.
140 days ago, I couldn’t picture this life.
Now I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
If you’re staying sober today, I’m proud of you. Keep going. It’s worth it.
Have a great Saturday, everyone. ❤️
My name is Chris, and I’m an alcoholic.
Day 139.
It’s Friday, and I won’t lie… Fridays used to be my excuse.
“I made it through the week.”
“I deserve a few drinks.”
“I’ll quit on Monday.”
I told myself those same lies for a long time.
Today feels different.
I’m looking forward to going home, hanging out with my family, waking up tomorrow without a headache or wondering what I said the night before.
It’s crazy how the things I used to think were boring are now the things I’m most grateful for.
139 days ago, I had no idea if I could do this.
Now I just keep putting one sober day in front of the next.
If you’re reading this and today is hard, you’re not alone. Let’s get through Friday together.
❤️
My name is Chris, and I’m an alcoholic.
Today is Day 138.
I’ve been sitting in a classroom all week doing my return-to-work training. If everything goes as planned, I’ll finally be back out on the floor Monday.
A few months ago, I wasn’t sure I’d ever be in this position again. Alcohol had me feeling stuck, hopeless, and convinced things would never get better.
Today I’m sitting here with a clear mind, paying attention, looking forward to getting back to work. It’s a feeling I don’t take for granted.
Life isn’t perfect, but it’s real now. And I’ll choose that over escaping it every single time.
If you’re on Day 1, don’t quit. Keep showing up. You never know where one good decision can lead.
One day at a time. ❤️
My name is Chris, and I’m an alcoholic.
135 days ago, I made a decision that honestly scared me. I was tired of waking up with regret, hiding who I had become, and feeling like alcohol was in control of my life.
It hasn’t been easy. Some days have tested me more than others. But every sober morning has been worth it.
Today is Day 135.
If you’re reading this and you’re struggling, please don’t give up. Recovery isn’t about being perfect—it’s about choosing to keep going, one day at a time.
If I can do it, so can you. ❤️
Sober Saturdays hit different.
This morning I woke up with a clear head, loaded up the family, and we’re heading to the caves to make some memories together.
There was a time I would’ve spent the weekend recovering from Friday night. Now I get to actually be present for the people who matter most.
I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.
What are you doing with your sober Saturday?
I still remember telling myself, “This is the last time.”
Then I’d wake up the next day and do it all over again.
I wasn’t weak. I was stuck.
The day everything started changing wasn’t when I magically found motivation. It was when I got tired of watching alcohol take more from me than it ever gave me.
If you’re in that place right now, don’t give up on yourself.
You don’t have to have your whole life figured out today. Just make it through today. Tomorrow can worry about itself.
One day turns into a week. A week turns into a month. Before you know it, you’re living a life you never thought was possible.
Keep going, I promise it’s worth it.
If you made it through this week without picking up a drink, be proud of yourself. If you slipped, don’t let one bad day convince you to throw away the rest of your story.
Recovery isn’t about being perfect. It’s about getting back up one more time than you fall.
Take today one hour at a time if you have to. By tonight, you’ll be grateful you didn’t give up.
You’ve got this. ❤️
Good morning!
If you woke up sober today, that’s something to be grateful for.
You don’t have to have your whole life figured out today. Just focus on making it through this one day without a drink.
Tomorrow will take care of itself.
Wishing everyone strength, peace, and another 24 hours of sobriety. How are you feeling this morning?
My name is Chris and I’m an alcoholic. I’m 122 days sober and going strong 🔥🔥
I do not regret a day of being sober, I get to see my kids more and my wife. I have had good luck lately. I feel 100 times better.
If you’re debating on quitting, TODAY IS THE DAY! LETS DO THIS!
ONE DAY AT A TIME
Thank You for the gift of another day. Thank You for waking me up with another chance to grow, love, and make a difference.
Guide my thoughts, my words, and my actions today. Give me peace when life feels overwhelming, strength when I’m tired, and wisdom when I don’t know what to do.
Help me be kind to others, quick to forgive, and grateful for every blessing, big or small. Protect my family, my friends, and everyone who needs Your comfort today.
No matter what this day brings, help me trust that You are already there, walking beside me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
