Cantor Equity Partners I $CEPO terminates its crypto treasury deal with BSTR. CEPO gets a $15M termination fee, but they only have less than 5 months left on their clock to find a new target company. Deadline is currently early Jan 2027. Plus, the Cantor Equity Partners team already has four other SPACs out searching with significantly more time left making those terms more attractive to potential targets compared to CEPO. As a result, there's a possibility CEPO liquidates (like Churchill IX). Keep in mind that if CEPO eventually does liquidate, the sponsor already stated they would contribute $0.15 per share to redemption events on top of what is already held in trust. Part of that $15M termination fee would probably help pay for that.
