The increasing costs of visas are making it more difficult for the world’s best scientists to work in the UK and is taking vital funds away from frontline research. Across @CR_UK’s four core-funded institutes, the combined cost has risen by over £200,000 in the past year alone. It’s why we’re calling on the Home Office to review the visa system and cut costs to attract more scientists to the UK.
