ALT The Visualisation, Irradiation and Analysis Core Facility have just achieved Silver Level in the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework this week. The VIA facility achieved this by reducing the amount of clinical waste, good purchasing practices by looking for alternative green suppliers, using recycled plastic for 3D printing and upgrading equipment locally in the facility and research labs so to reduce costs and increase the lifetime of instrumentation. "I'm really proud of the work our research and core facility teams have put in to achieve Bronze LEAF status across the whole Institute, and now going further with our first Silver award to the VIA team," said Stuart Pepper, Chief Laboratory Officer.
