This National School Counselor Week has been different and difficult. I want to honor and celebrate the life of one of the most amazing counselors and friend. Thank you for all you did for students @staci_callaway, your passion and work ethic will always be an inspiration for me.
It’s extremely important to get to know the whole child in order to effectively support them.

We need to keep moving in the right direction to get appropriate services for students. Equity matters. Quality services are important. Connections can only happen when we can actually reach our caseload.

Today my scholars and I explored our feeling about school. It is extremely important to check in with kids often about their feelings. What better way than through fun with art.
Happy to represent @AnaheimElem @PonderosaPride & @AESDcounselors as I co-facilitated the OC Coffee with the Counselor put on by @OCDeptofEd. Such a great collaboration between passionate school counselors with a common vision. Together we will do greater things for kids.
