Many people are now very sick with all sorts of infections because Covid damages the body’s ability to fight infection in general, depletes T-cells, causes cognitive decline and vascular/endothelial damage. That’s why society is still in disarray. And every infection worsens this

I don’t think people understand we had such high death rates from Covid.
I don’t think people understand that the
state doesn’t really work in the UK anymore.
Public healthcare doesn’t really work properly anymore.
I would leave this country if I could.
It just isn’t safe. You can’t even get the Novovax vaccine privately in the UK. It’s insane.

That was the reason why we had FIVE times the death rate of East Asian states, prolonged national lockdowns and care homes devastated. They suppressed their epidemics and stopped the spread within 4-6 weeks using strong public health measures of find, test, trace, isolate and support. bmj.com/content/389/bmj-2024…

Meanwhile, in the UK, the number of kids with Long Covid in England & Scotland nearly DOUBLED in a year between Mar 2023 & Mar 2024, rising to over 111K.
That’s over 1K NEW cases in kids PER WEEK across the year.
That was over 2 years ago now.
And then ONS stopped tracking it.

Remember when they sold us the slogan, “Go paperless, save trees, save the planet”? Now we've gone digital, and it's consuming enormous amounts of water, destroying ecosystems, harming bees, and contributing to environmental damage on a scale paper never did.

Cold and Flu are two entirely different diseases. A cold can never turn into a flu.
Covid has caused more hospitalisations, deaths, & chronic illness than flu has for as long as both have existed on planet earth. Covid isn’t “between cold & flu” in terms of severity.

In 2024, Oxfam identified 23 superyachts owned by 18 billionaires. The ave annual carbon footprint of each yacht was 5,672 tonnes. For an average citizen of the world it would take EIGHT HUNDRED & SIXTY YEARS (860 years!) to produce the same amount.

spoiler alert: repeat infections do not have to be a “fact of life”. you can take basic precautions and mitigate your risk of becoming permanently disabled from Long COVID.

COVID INQUIRY
🚨CATA has issued an open letter to Baroness Hallett warning that key Module 1 recommendations are being disregarded.
Of particular concern is the NHS stance that any attempt to halt the spread of a new pandemic virus would be “a waste of public health resources”.

Our friend in the Long Covid community Gavin died fighting trench warfare. Severe, complex chronic illness is trench warfare - WWI style. The medical support is often WWI style too, and this defined the last days of Gavin’s life. He was still in his 40s, a light in our community, and he fought to stay alive.
