Spent some time at the Fort Myers #MyFWC Iguana Drop Off location today. Not too many iguanas turned in in Fort Myers today, especially compared to the Sunrise location near Ft Lauderdale hundreds/thousands were turned in. The smart iguanas clearly live on the Gulf Coast.

So THIS is fun… traffic at a standstill northbound on I-85 just south of Hwy 129

It’s the 50th anniv of #OperationBabylift when 1000s of babies/orphans were hurriedly & chaotically airlifted out of Vietnam b4 Saigon fell. My mom was a 27yo #MilSpouse @ Hickam. Learn about her heroic role in that historic event. H/t @NebPublicMedia surl.lu/fsyzui

2yrs ago (01-30-23) @RepThomasMassie showed me a prototype of his ‘debt counter’. Then, our nat’l debt was $31.4TRILLION Today, 2 years later, it’s $36.2TRILLION It’s up $5 TRILLION dollars in just 2 years! He said ‘It’s meant to be anxiety inducing’. And that it is.

Hey @iriesentner The Mike Roger (AL) has never been under consideration for FBI Director, that’s Mike Rogers (MI). And Mike Rogers (MI) was never under consideration for SecDef… that was Mike Rogers (AL) 2 of 2 politico.com/live-updates/20…

A statue of @JohnnyCash was unveiled in Emancipation Hall at the U.S. Capitol today. After the unveiling, Johnny’s sister, Joanne Cash, who is blind, had the opportunity to touch the statue so she could feel what it looks like.

It’s 7:00pm ET on #SOTU2024 night in the Capitol. Two hours to go until the President addresses the nation with his State of the Union address and @PabloReports from @VanityFair is still elbow deep in live painting the action in Statuary Hall.

The most fascinating part of #SOTU2024 so far is @PabloReports live painting from the balcony of Statuary Hall the events unfolding below. Statuary Hall is abuzz of w/ activity as reporters & cameras are positioned for reaction from Members of Congress after the speech concludes.

The calm before the storm. I took a spin in Statuary Hall today to check it out before all the action. Statuary Hall will serve as the media ‘spin room’ after the President of the United States delivers the State of the Union Address tomorrow evening. #SOTU2024

Hey @SpiritAirlines what’s the deal in Atlanta today? My flight from ATL to BWI on your airline has been delayed every hour for the last FIVE hours w/ no info except the time change & apology. It’s chaos here at every Spirit Air gate. Now I know why people choose other airlines.
