PERSONAL NEWS: I’ve started a new role at @POLITICO as a reporter for @playbookdc!
Have something you think we should know? Let’s get in touch. [email protected] and DM for signal.
NEW: Dan Sullivan isn’t running away from President Donald Trump like so many other vulnerable Republicans. He’s betting that walking the line instead will help him reap reelection in November.

NEW: Trump trekked all the way to Wasilla, Alaska, to juice his base to turn out for Dan Sullivan. But strategists and voters here acknowledged that Sullivan faces a difficult path to reelection, despite Trump’s time investment and the outside money pouring in.

NEW: BREWER, Maine — Vice President JD Vance on Monday brought his anti-fraud crusade back to Maine, with a pitch for voters to elect Republicans because they’re bringing down prices for consumers.
But President Donald Trump is making that argument increasingly difficult — especially in this swing district inside a state where the economy is heavily linked to trade with Canada. w/ @drdesrochers

Francesca Hong and state Sen. Kelda Roys - the progressive who cut into Hong’s margins - will attend WI Dems’ 11am unity brunch in Middleton
W/ @iriesentner
David Crowley will speak at 9am CT in Milwaukee, urging Dems to unite against Tom Tiffany + Trump - and thanking Francesca Hong for fighting for people.
He will then attend what is now a Dem unity brunch in the Madison area. Then tour stops and a rally in Milwaukee - his hometown - tonight with Sen. Baldwin and other Dems, as @politico has reported.
His advisers are working to quickly coalesce the divided Dem electorate, with a focus on bringing in Hong and Roys voters.
Francesca Hong took the stage at her election night party around 11:30 p.m. central with the Wisconsin governor’s primary still far too close to call.
“We are ready to keep fighting, and I feel confident,” she told the crowd. politico.com/live-updates/20…
Francesca Hong’s team is making press credentials for reporters at her election night party using sharpies and masking tape — an example of her insurgent campaign’s remarkable rise despite extremely limited resources.

Welcome to another packed primary night, with tests for both parties.
Our @iriesentner is on the ground in Wisconsin, where Dems' primary for governor will again test the rise of its left flank.

Republican PACs have spent millions on ads for Francesca Hong in the primary — but she doesn't believe it's because they see her as the weaker Dem to face in November.
"They're not supporting ads talking about issues," she tells @iriesentner. "We've been an issue-run campaign."

NEW — Progressives believe they are on the cusp of another major victory if Francesca Hong can win the WI governor primary today, paving the way for 2028 and beyond.
But so far, many national progressive leaders want nothing to do with the race.
“I don’t know her,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said.

. @FrancescaHongWI casts her ballot in the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary.
.@FrancescaHongWI tells supporters in Sun Prairie to tell their friends, family — and exes to vote tomorrow. “I hope folks are willing to break no contact to make sure that we’re getting people out to vote,” she says.
