The GreenCube planned passivation will be executed on 5 Feb at 00.00UTC. Thanks to everyone that made this mission special ♥️

We’re always amazed on how impacting this project has been to friends that we never met that are literally on every corner of the planet. It’s a feeling we can’t get used to and that makes our day every time… better than every can of cheap beer 🥰🍻😂

I wish it could be possible 🍻. What really happened after the connection issue is that your favorite GCube operator got COVID today and he was at the test center during last pass. Can you hit the like button to wish him a speedy recovery? (He’s super fine but stuck at home) 🏡
More seriously: had the bloody usual connection issues + our operator had a problem today. Will send the reset to 1200 command at tonight’s pass. Thanks for your patience folks 🤓

Rumours true were. Connection issues there were. Problems solved are. Operator 1200 baud set will. At the midnight pass command will send. 🙏🤓
Sorry, a bit more specific: we’ll send the command at the next available pass over Rome, later this evening today 🤓
The survey will be left open for 10 days until Sep 15th, 2023.
The paper will be presented at the “SmallSat Operations” session within the B4 (Small Satellite Missions) symposium of the International Astronautical Congress. Please participate and spread the word! ♥️
Hi AMSATs, We’re releasing a survey on your experience with GreenCube.
The results will be presented at the next IAC in Baku, 🇦🇿, in October.
Every callsign and name included in the form will be acknowledged in the paper and presentation!

We LOVE the support you’re giving to the mission and the fact that the satellite has new life with you passionates. When we’ve telemetry work to do we can warn you, but latch-ups can’t be predicted and we just have to solve them as soon as we can 🤓

The schedule is to keep GC’s Digi on as much as we can. MEO is extremely challenging and sometimes latch-ups can occur. When they combine with the (not new, but still solving) connection issues at the ground segment it takes a bit more to get everything up and running

Nevertheless, we love to hear how you all guys are passionate with our tiny little guy. We’re working to get the digi back on, struggling with the GS connection (now it’s no news, but working on that too). We’ll keep you posted when it’s back ON and nominal!

Yes, as Peter was saying the plan is to keep the digi on as much as we can, but keep in mind that GreenCube is in an extremely challenging environment (deep into the Van Allen belts) and latch-ups occur sort of frequently.

Yes, we’re checking. Greencube likes to enjoy free weekends but we like it more when it helps ham radios on Saturdays and Sundays 😬. Keep you posted on the problem, nothing looks super problematic at this time. Best! 7️⃣3️⃣

Hi Jerry, we’re checking right now. No bad news, just the usual boring connection issues + need to understand why the digi is not working. Nothing worrying or super serious so far, keep you posted. 73
