No, @elonmusk, the U.S. stopped funding Ukraine last year. In fact, U.S. companies make money on American weapons for which we Europeans pay. The more you meddle in our politics and the more you play politics with your products, the more you damage your brand.
Replying to @elonmusk
And some of that US taxpayer money comes back through multiple laundry machines to fund political campaigns in America, which is why you see some politicians caring more about Ukraine than America!

Jackdaw approved at long last! A victory for the voters of Aberdeen South who sent that message to the Labour government.

The corroboration safeguard was effectively abolished by two prosecution appeals reported in 2023 & 2024 - and this is another nail in its coffin. When considered along with the restrictions applied to cross X in cases of this type - the picture in 2026 is frightening
A centuries-old safeguard to prevent wrongful convictions no longer exists for people accused of sexual offences, according to Roddy Dunlop KC. 👇

Every single year on this day SNP supporters claim that ‘drugs policy is reserved to Westminster’. This is not true. To illustrate - in Sept 2021 the Lord Advocate - a member of Scot Govt - gave police officers authority to issue recorded warnings for possession of Class A drugs

Astonishing. The SNP’s Collette Stevenson has been an MSP since 2021, and had already sat through two hours of this morning’s Transport Committee meeting, when she asked a jaw-dropping question: “I take it Transport Scotland is a registered charity?”

A simple truth has been laid bare in the Sunday Times this morning: if you block North Sea production, and ban exploration, you get more imports. And not just any imports, imports of LNG which carry emissions that are three times higher than what we produce in the UK and have no meaningful benefit to jobs, investment and balance of payments. The newspaper has uncovered that the UK Government is considering spending billions on new infrastructure to import more LNG as North Sea production declines... while simultaneously banning new UK exploration and maintaining a crippling 78% headline tax rate on our domestic industry. Climate action should be centred on reducing demand, not choking off supply. Then using the massive boost in revenues from UK production to turbocharge renewables. The reality is an LNG facility may well be required regardless but it is incumbent on those who are opposed to oil and gas projects being developed in the UKCS to tell us why this is economically and environmentally preferable to using more of our own domestic supply. I’ll wait…

Scotland has lost a true guiding light of its business community. Sir Ian was a champion of everything North East, both as a paragon of its economy but also as a philanthropist who did so much good at home and abroad. 1/3

LBC has asked @RestoreBritain if Mr Lowe will be retracting this statement and apologising to those who lost their children and their mother on that horrendous day 30 years ago.
Replying to @RupertLowe10
@RupertLowe10 describes Dunblane to Joe Rogan in his podcast as “a murder up in Dunblane.” Joe Rogan replies, “One murder?” Lowe answers: “One murder.” One murder? Sixteen kids and their teacher were murdered. Fifteen other primary school children were wounded. My children’s school, about fifteen minutes from Dunblane, was locked down that day. They’ll never forget being kept in the gym hall until everyone learned the gunman was dead. They’ll never forget the teachers trying to hold themselves together while reassuring frightened children. To reduce that atrocity to “one murder” is deeply insulting. It wasn’t a single murder. It was a mass murder. In a primary school. Almost as disturbing was the tone – one of disbelief, even mockery, that anyone could respond by tightening gun laws. This wasn’t some obscure historical event. It happened in 1996, when Lowe was 38 years old. He should have known what happened on that terrifying day in Dunblane. For anyone who remembers that day, hearing it dismissed so casually is genuinely shocking. open.spotify.com/episode/1f6…

The Lord Mackay of Clashfern has died at the age of 99. He was Lord Chancellor from 1987 to 1997 and was an active member of the House of Lords until he retired in July 2022. The son of a railway worker, he was one of the most respected Scottish and British lawyers of the 20th century.

Not quite. We elect one house of parliament, the one you’re in. The House of Commons is not “Parliament”.
Where’s Bagehot when you need him. We elect a Parliament and whoever commands a majority within that Parliament is Prime Minister. Let’s use Parliamentary time to improve the country.

This is a win. A huge win. And should send shockwaves across the country that Kemi’s Conservatives can win. And not just win. Win big. And send message, loud and clear, that Aberdeen is angry. Labour must now change course on oil and gas. It’s time for a new direction.

That’s not what the Accession Council does and in any event it has not proclaimed a sovereign of “England” since 1702….
Hi Frances, I know it was 4 yrs ago, but your memory lets you down. You asked to see me on the day that I attended the Privy Council to choose the next King of England. My minion, as you called her, apologised & offered other dates. Not a coward, just busy - like many women👑

It is with sadness that we learnt today of the death of our colleague, Lord Clarke of Stone-cum-Ebony. Lord Clarke was a Justice of the UKSC from its opening in 2009 until 2017. He was an excellent colleague & the kindest of men. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

Someone should ask the universities in scotland how successful curriculum for excellence has been in preparing students for what lies beyond school.
The context for this remark was a question asking: “what are you going to do to improve education?” Deidre Brock responded by saying the Curriculum for Excellence was a brilliant success, and she then criticised Michael Gove’s reforms in England (hence the trashing of the 3Rs).
