-owned Australian marketing rights
-didn’t show up during the most important week to capitalize on those rights
-cited their “focus on winning the game” as the reason why
-proceeded to lose by 3 TDs anyway
-offended a sports-crazed city
-let the rival 49ers completely take over their territory
So nothing is being taken out of context. Just like saying “no offense” doesn’t magically make what follows less offensive
