Four districts. Countless stories of growth, resilience, and transformation. Over the past few weeks, we have come together with our alumni in @GakenkeDistrict, @KireheDistrict, @NyanzaDistrict, and @Nyamasheke to celebrate their achievements, reflect on their journeys, and recognize the progress they have made beyond our workshops. Through #GiraUbushobozi, we have reached 2,856 young people across Gakenke, Kirehe, and Nyamasheke, building their confidence and leadership skills to pursue opportunities and create sustainable livelihoods. Through #SpeakforChange, we have reached 7,204 participants across Kirehe and Nyanza, supporting secondary school students to make informed decisions about their futures and teenage mothers and their guardians, to rebuild their confidence, strengthen family relationships, and pursue new opportunities. But what makes these celebrations especially meaningful is seeing what happens after the training. From alumni groups building businesses and investing in their futures to young mothers rebuilding relationships, returning to education, and finding renewed confidence, these gatherings reminded us that meaningful change takes many forms. As we celebrate how far they have come, we are reminded that the workshops were just the beginning. The journey continues through the opportunities they create, the communities they strengthen, and the futures they are building together. And behind these celebrations are stories worth telling. Stay tuned as we share more about their journeys and the impact they are creating in their communities🫰 #EmpowerHer #EconomicEmpowerment #WomenWhoLead

“Who says you don’t have power? You have the power required.” These words from Eloise, a student at @RwCodingAcademy, remind us of something powerful: girls already have so much potential within them. What they need are opportunities, encouragement, and spaces that help them recognize it. Following our #RiseandSTEM workshop, Eloise reflected on how the experience helped her see new possibilities, step beyond her comfort zone, and believe in what she is capable of achieving. This #internationaldayofthegirl, we celebrate her and every girl discovering the power of her voice, embracing her potential, and taking charge of her future. Because investing in girls means ensuring they have the rights, opportunities, and support to shape their own lives. #IDOG #GirlsLeadership #DayoftheGirl

We have officially launched and started implementing Imbaraga z’Isôoko, an initiative of the Ingoga Growth Program! Ingoga Growth Program is an initiative implemented by a consortium of seven youth-led organizations, in partnership with the @mastercardfoundation. The consortium is led by @rworkshops and includes @imagineiwr, @impanuro, @isooko_cd, @iwacuinafrica, @loveandhandss, and @starlightafrica Imbaraga z’Isôoko will support 1,000 young people aged 16–30 who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET) to access pathways to dignified and fulfilling work over the next three years. The project will be implemented in Masoro, Murambi, and Ntarabana Sectors of Rulindo District, reaching 80% young women and 20% young men among whom 5% are people with disabilities. At the launch, we were joined by @nudor_rwanda, our partner supporting the project on inclusion and reasonable accommodation, alongside @rulindodistrict. Together, we are creating more inclusive economic opportunities for young people in Rwanda. #YoungAfricaWorks

What does it take to build families where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued? This Tuesday, we joined communities in @BureraDistrict for Gender & Accountability Day, held under the theme “All for GBV-Free Families.” Through open conversations around gender equality, children’s rights, family relationships, conflict resolution, and the prevention of gender-based violence, community members reflected on the role each of us can play in creating safer and more equitable families. #GenderEquality #EndGBV #communityoutreach #alumnicampaign

The day was also an opportunity to reconnect with our participants and learn how that change is showing up beyond the training room; in how they navigate conflict within their families, make decisions for themselves and their children, and support one another through the groups they have formed. We are grateful to Burera District for welcoming Speak for Change into its communities and for continuing to work alongside us toward safer, stronger families. Because lasting change doesn’t stop with one person it can ripple through families and entire communities.

In his remarks, the Vice Mayor for Social Affairs emphasized that preventing GBV requires everyone’s participation, calling on community members to play their part in ending gender-based violence and building families that are safe and thriving. For us at Resonate, these conversations are closely connected to our work through the #SpeakforChange program, which we have implemented in Burera to contribute to the prevention of and response to teenage pregnancy. Through the program, we support participants to build the confidence and agency to speak up, challenge harmful norms, make informed decisions, and take action in their lives.

Thank you,, @BureraDistrict, for the continued partnership and shared commitment to building safer, stronger families. We were glad to join the Gender & Accountability Day and engage communities in conversations that contribute to preventing GBV and creating families where everyone can thrive. #AllforGBVFreeFamilies #CommunityOutreach #EndGBV

Today, we celebrate the courage, ideas, and potential of young people shaping a better future for themselves and their communities. At Resonate, we see every day what becomes possible when young people are given the space, confidence, and tools to lead, take action, and turn their aspirations into reality. As we continue working alongside young people across Rwanda and East Africa, we remain inspired by their determination to create opportunities, challenge barriers, and drive meaningful change. Here’s to a generation that is not only the future, but is already leading today. Happy International #YouthDay! #InternationalYouthDay #YouthLead #YouthEmpowerment #IYD2026

After completing my TVET training, I stayed home unemployed and unable to afford my basic needs. Then I joined a Resonate workshop, and learned that being a leader means taking action in the face of a challenge, not waiting. So I decided to act. I used my transportation allowance from the workshop to rent a sewing machine and started by redesigning my own clothes to showcase my skills. Today, I own my sewing machine, earn an income from tailoring, contribute to my family’s well-being, and I am working toward owning a second machine. I started with what I had, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.” ~Delphine, Gira Ubushobozi (Be Powerful) participant #economicempowerment #leadership #youthempowerment #womeninbusiness #womenempowerment

As we prepare for another phase of the technical and financial literacy training with our alumni groups, our team has been engaging with district leaders in @NyaruguruDistr, @NyabihuDistrict , and @BureraDistrict, to co-create and align on the foundations of the training. The training is meant to equip the alumni groups with practical skills to strengthen their businesses, improve their financial knowledge, and help them make their projects more profitable and sustainable. Through these conversations, local authorities, sector leaders, and community volunteers are coming together to support our alumni as they continue growing their businesses and creating opportunities for themselves and their communities. We are grateful for the commitment and partnership that make this work possible.

Teen mothers carry more than most people see: stigma, isolation, and silence that settles into how they see themselves. But good days do not come from ignoring what is hard. They come from communities that say: what happened to you is not the end of your story. At Resonate, that is what we are building. Because we believe that silence can be broken and when it is, a young woman begins to rediscover who she truly is. Read our latest blog and learn more about what happens when young women are truly heard: resonateworkshops.org/blog/2… #Leadership #Storytelling #MentalHealth #WomenWhoLead #SpeakforChange
