Ditched google apps a while back. Always better options available. Would uninstall every google/alphabet app off my phone if it would let me.
Sealing the border - wall is actually being built, remain in Mexico restored, travel bans in place, cut admissions for legal immigration, illegal is almost zero
War on Drugs - taking serious action against the cartels, significant reduction in fentanyl,
Taxes - made tax cuts permanent, no tax on tips, ended federal ev mandate
Energy - national energy emergency declared, increased federal leasing and permitting, LNG exports opened, revoked CA emissions waiver
Other stuff - Jan 6 pardons, withdrawal from Paris Climate Agreement, withdrawal from WHO, rolled back DEI initiatives at federal level, rolled back a lot of the trans insanity
Tariffs - impacting major company decisions to rehome U.S. manufacturing
It's not a perfect track record - but this is progress. Dems will work to undo all of this. Holding the line on illegal and mass immigration is paramount for any long-term economic relief. It would be great if Republicans in the Senate would actually assist, but we didn't get this way overnight - not gonna change overnight. They aren't a perfect party by any stretch of the imagination, but they are the best on the ticket. We work during the primaries to get better candidates, but at this point that ship has sailed. You either vote to move forward or you vote to move backward - simple as that.
Used Grok as my systems architect and launched @bot to build a media library queue app to track books and movies I want to consume. It's linked to TMDB and OpenLibrary to pull in details and images. I have a 10 item next up queue to order what I want to consume next. It has an MCP interface so I can just tell my chief of staff bot to add something to the database and it handles it for me.
I wanted @bot to provide daily summaries of all of the tech newsletters I subscribe to, but I don't use gmail. So, I had it build an MCP / IMAP server in my home lab in order for it to read my email. Now I get a daily summary list of only articles and links of topics I'm highly interested in, plus 1-line summaries of tech trends of interest.
Today I worked with a shopping/research @bot to look for the best price on used books I am looking for with specific prompts in order for it to find the exact binding, edition, condition, and new/used type I want. Now that it's trained, it will follow the same process for future requests.
I subscribe to a lot of tech newsletters, but it's gotten tedious to try and find the specific types of articles I'd actually click-thru. So, I decided to set up a Grok @bot to build a morning summary with links from across all the newsletters.
First issue is that I don't use gmail, so there isn't a connector and @bot doesn't have secure email access from its computer. I didn't want to have to pay for a MCP service, so I had it build an IMAP MCP service hosted in a Docker container on my home lab web VM server. I gave it access to the server and it deployed from my desktop system through SSH. It walked me through DNS changes and I set up the firewall rules needed.
From start to finish, it took 30 minutes - including walking me through some API key creation steps. Spun up a dedicated bot to handle the newsletter curation and it provided a sample run from yesterday's email batch. I gave it feedback on what topics were important, and why I clicked some articles and ignored others. The intent is to essentially train it for what's important to me and differentiate between informational nuggets I want to know about but not click, and articles I want to dive into.
I wanted to be able to review the code as I'm learning Python, so I setup a Github repo and it posted the code with a nice readme.md. Didn't use Cursor for this one, but will dive into that shortly.

I don't stop. My wife doesn't like it, but they can ban me if they don't like my money.

I had Grok summarize in markdown format. I dropped that into an Obsidian vault. I have dated entries like a diary in Obsidian that are searchable and linkable. I can grant Grok Bot access to my vault location and since they are all markdown format, it can consume as needed.

I see a lot of promises kept. I've seen progress. I want more progress in a lot of areas. I find no value giving up the fight. This is actually the best the Republicans have done in a long time. The socialists aren't taking their ball and going home because they didn't get what they wanted. It took decades to get into this mess, gonna take more than 2 years to break the cycle.

Don't agree with this, but it's irrelevant at any rate. Primaries are over. 4 years of Amy will be a disaster for Ohio. You are screaming into the wind at this point. There is no upside for Republicans to not vote in the mid-terms and to not vote for Vivek. Across the board, in every race, vote Republican. Without power you can't govern. You can deal with getting better candidates at the primary level.

There are no perfect candidates. There are no candidates who are in 100% lock-step agreement with my beliefs. I don't live in Ohio, but after living in Illinois for 20+ years, I can guarantee Vivek will be 1000x better than any Democrat alternative. It's not even a close debate. There is NO MESSAGE to send to the RNC or Republicans in general by sitting out the mid-terms in Ohio or anywhere else. There are too many in power who would welcome becoming the minority.

Without question, there is an affordability crisis and it is those struggling the most to make ends meet who are hit hardest.
But I would strongly caution Americans to not be too quick to make the same mistake as Canada by putting the architects of the crisis back in charge.
I’m not gonna lie. I’ve done well in life.
But every day, I do basic things like shopping, traveling, and eating out. For a while now, every time I pay, I’ve gone from being the guy who never pays attention to stopping for a moment, looking at the receipt, looking at the cashier, and saying, “Holy shit, what did I get?” Or, “What the fuck? This isn’t worth it.”
If I’m feeling like that, I have no idea what the fuck is going on in America.
People must be suffering and that breaks my heart, cause it’s not what we voted for.
Every day I see people telling me they’re sick and tired of Trump and his administration. I don’t give a shit what many of you bullshit artists, you fake-ass political influencers, are preaching on this fucking app. You’re liars, fucking retarded and pathetic.
Americans are suffering. Most people I know, if not all of them, who voted for Trump regret it.
So fuck off with your bullshit.
Hell is coming. Everybody needs to buckle up. Treasuries are exploding. Diesel is unheard of.
This is a fucking nightmare scenario.

He would still be alive today if he would have been deported instead of given an ankle monitor and released. Efficient deportations saves lives!
