Fantastic production of Dancing at Lughnasa at the Gate Theatre, it’s a true Irish classic and is brought to life by a brilliant cast 👏🏻
Nice to see Dublin through visitor eyes, been showing a friend round it, Dublin gets bad press but we forget how great our coastline is, & although not everyone cares, one of the greatest pieces of art ever, Ulysses, is all about Dublin & my friend was keen to experience this !
It’s a masterpiece, eventually saw it only last
Week, should be an Oscar for Lalor Roddy as well as an IFTA !
I think “That They May Face the Rising Sun” just might be the greatest Irish film ever made , saw it a week ago but I’m still thinking about it. It’s staggeringly good and Lalor Roddy for an Oscar IMHO
Very proud of Jack who came up through our ranks from a juvenile and becomes the first Donore Harriers Olympian in 24 years !
What a magnificent race from @raftery_jack of my club @DonoreHarriers, we are all super proud of him on his first senior outdoor title !

World Athletics is deeply saddened by the passing of Shawn Barber, the 2015 world pole vault champion.
Condolences go out to his family, friends and fellow vaulters.
A very cultural couple of days, Christmas IFI showing of the Capra classic It’s a Wonderful Life, Hozier at the 3 Arena and The Quare Fellow at the Abbey theatre tonight
Wow I’m very envious of the 300 books a year tally when I think of my vast unread shelves! Some great advice here for avid readers

A week is a long time in sport, this time last week , we cheered on one of our young Donore talents Abdel Laadjel in the Eurocross, a week later we say goodbye to one of our club legends 1960 Olympian Willie Dunne , RIP
Hectic weekend in Brussels at the Eurocross so we didn’t get to see as much of it as planned, didn’t even get to the Christmas markets but must go back
