Nadia Battocletti, the Italian distance queen, is European champion at 10,000m, 5,000m, cross country and on the roads. She is World silver and bronze medalist at Worlds and Olympic silver medalist. She is one of our most popular global athletes RunBlogRun!
Enjoy three video clips that we did with Nadia in Madrid in February 2026 for Meeting Indoor Madrid!
Nadia is coached by her father, a former elite distance runner. Always a great interview, I enjoy the frankness of our conversations and her obvious love of her sport!

#inthemixedzone, with @annahallslayton , who is always a fave interview. Looking forward to seeing Anna Hall Slayton in 2027!
In 2022, I asked @jjoynerkersee what she thought of Anna Hall. Jackie, the greatest multieventer for women ever, said “Anna is the it girl,”. Jackie Joyner Kersee went on to note that Anna can handle the limelight, the pressure of world class stardom and has what it takes as a heptathlete!
This interview is from the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, held on January 24, 2026.
