We’ve received replies (finally) from @hmrcgovuk to our two letters. In both cases HMRC fail to answer questions asked & continue to evade scrutiny.
In one case we pointed out their FOI response failed to answer questions. So what do they do? Cut & paste the same FOI response!!

Evidence compiled by @loanchargeAPPG makes these points clear - #loan charge has caused deep misery to honest people. Meanwhile promoters live the high life. Schemes continue to be sold. One of the worst acts of any Government in recent years.

Equally outrageous: so HMRC got view of the report before it was published. We had to wait on eggshells on how our fate would be decided - first over an election and then to finally have it sneakily published without discussion as a done deal just before Xmas!! I'm livid!

I would urge all MPs to support NC31.
It does NOT clear historical tax debts.
It LETS HMRC exercise their full range of administrative powers (enquiries/assessments) to challenge loan schemes provided (as they mostly did) HMRC took timely action under Taxes Management Act 1970.

My interest was more than 50% of the original demand. It’s @HMRCgovuk fault for the delay and adding 50% is adding daylight robbery to retrospective taxation robbery, literally killing good hard working people #scumHMRC

Parliamentarians dealing with FB 2020 shortly, please be mindful of the sloppy and deceitful way bad #LoanCharge policy was originally passed in late 2017, and the rod it has since made for everyone's backs. Don't allow Morse amendments through without your due diligence.
