After several months consulting with children, parents/carers & staff, we were delighted to launch the refreshed vision, values & aims for our school during today’s assembly.
We were pleased to include our community’s biggest historical landmark, a spire!

I love it when a plan comes together!
These faces say it all.
Five weeks of planning.
Oral history sprinkled with some PE teaching.
Lots of practising.
A community that wants childhood to be happy.
And this is what we ended up with...

We hopped, skipped and jumped as we learned about the games children used to play in Glasgow.
Our teachers were the wee boys and girls who played those games in the past.
They were patient and helped us develop our skills gradually.

We threw and caught and rolled.
We learned new games and new skills.
We had to work on our hand-eye coordination and make sure our timing was good.
We'll take our new games back to school to practise in the playground.

And this game caused lots of squealing as we tried to manage the bounce of the ball off the wall without clunking ourselves on the head! 😆
I think there was a bit of physics involved in getting this to work!!

Medals were for effort, skill and good sportsmanship.
Not everyone received a medal but the children were delighted for each other and there was lots of cheering.
