A "catastrophic descent into disgrace".
Justice served.
Huge respect to the victims for the courage and determination.
Congratulations to @PoliceServiceNI and @thePPSNI for their investigation and prosecution.

If you think #HumanTrafficking doesn’t happen in Northern Ireland, think again.
Good to see this campaign supported by @PoliceServiceNI
This Anti-Slavery Week, we’re putting the spotlight on human trafficking.

What viable alternative options did @ChiefConPSNI have?

Three years since October 7, 2023.
We remember the lives stolen by Palestinian Hamas. We honor the heroes. We carry the scars.
And still, we stand.
We rebuild. We live. We choose hope.

I agree with the sentiment from Jim but not the choice.
Why not ask Phil Coulter to do an ‘Irelands Call’ option.

Great to see the boys line up in Windsor. What a great group of young men. #GAWA I’d love to see us adopt Danny Boy as our anthem - so everyone could sing.

🚨☣️BREAKING: Plague outbreak expands, Russia BSL-3 lab accident - FIVE hospitals now quarantined🚨☣️
The plague outbreak in Siberia, Russia has expanded w/5 hospitals now under QUARANTINE: Irkutsk Hospitals No. 1, No.3, No.10, Ivano-Matreninskaya Children's Hospital, and an unnamed maternity hospital (Lyudi Baikala news, Moscow Times).
Quarantine is NOT voluntary. Even in the U.S., quarantine is among the most extraordinary measures gov't can impose on American citizens who haven't been convicted, or even accused, of committing a crime. Quarantine means being forcibly confined and medically examined by law. U.S. quarantine can be imposed on anyone infected by a legally quarantinable disease listed below (this can change). One should assume Russia's quarantine protocols are even more severe. As of 2026, under Executive Order 14047, legally quarantinable diseases in the U.S. are:
■ Plague
■ Smallpox
■ Viral hemorrhagic fevers
■ Cholera
■ Diphtheria
■ Yellow fever
■ Infectious tuberculosis
■ Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)
■ Flu that can cause a pandemic
■ Measles

That has to be seen as a missed opportunity to beat a strong @GlasgowWarriors team at home.
2 man advantage with 10 mins left ?
Poor game management
@UlsterRugby
That’s woeful defence by @UlsterRugby
3 defenders and @GlasgowWarriors ran through all all of them

I met @RepRichardNeal when I was a Northern Ireland Minister. He is personally engaging but is utterly sectarian in his views on Northern Ireland.
Like many ‘Irish Americans’ his views are romantic and disengaged from reality.
The USA is not a guarantor of the Agreement.
This is a consequential moment on the island of Ireland.
The Orange Order parade represents a return to the divisions of the past. After 28 years of progress thanks to the Good Friday Agreement, we have come too far to turn back now.
Today, I joined my colleagues in the Congressional Friends of Ireland Caucus in writing to the British Secretary of State Bryant, calling on the Government of the United Kingdom to cancel the Orange Order parade on Garvaghy Road.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The letter states that the United States is a guarantor of the Good Friday Agreement, but the agreement was reached between the UK and Irish governments and Northern Ireland political parties with no such US role or designation.

I lost a friend last night. His family lost a husband, a father, a grandfather. We lost a leader in law enforcement
