Share the risk, improve the product, improve the odds, free bets and concessions your average punter can receive is the start of it, hybrid model as you say. How you get more/new people interested in a niche sport in today’s world (to grow the base) is even more of a challenge

……cut to a scene, in 2011 or 2012 somewhere in The Peak District, where a racing analyst (probably played by Timothee Chalamet) presses “Enter” on his computer and exclaims “I can’t believe it: no horse should be able to do these things…..”
FRANKEL the movie 🍿 🎥 will begin filming in 2027 ☺️ The movie will be called UNBEATEN after Frankel’s undefeated career. BAFTA winner Nora Fingscheidt has signed as director while the screenplay has been written by Bash Doran. Ralph Fiennes who will play Sir Henry Cecil has also signed on as an executive producer.

Likewise, I have never shoveled shit (written a fair bit of it) but am keen to learn to do so if it means I can become an extra in the Greatest Story Ever Told. 😀
How do I get a job helping with this film, I can make a cracking cup of tea? ☕️ yes I am a Harry Potter fan… BUT I also love racing… who do I contact P.S I don’t care how cringe and embarrassing this post is…

EXCLUSIVE: A new study finds that political prediction market traders are not representative of all voters, but election market prices are more accurate than leading poll-based methods and not politically biased. The study found: ✅ In its first month of listing election contracts in 2024, Kalshi's prices beat every poll-based forecast (Silver Bulletin, FiveThirtyEight, The Economist) in the national race, all seven battleground states, and 19 Senate races ✅ A trader who believed the poll-based models and traded against Kalshi's national price would have lost 92 to 100 cents per dollar. ✅ No poll-based forecast would have been profitable to trade against Kalshi in any group of presidential contests. 💰 @Kalshi's 2024 election traders were 86% male and half were under 30. 🏠 Their home zip codes voted 28% for Trump. A market that priced its traders' politics would have leaned toward Harris, not Trump. Instead, 60% of the money went to Republican positions, and Kalshi priced Trump as the favorite through the final month. 🔢 The study used data from @Kalshi in 2024, @PredictIt in 2016, and New York betting markets from 1884 to 1940. ✍️The study was authored by @HarryDCrane, Professor of Statistics at @RutgersU and member of @CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee & @KolemanStrumpf, Burchfield Presidential Chair of Political Economy, Department of Economics, @WakeForest University. If your job is to seek the truth and report it, you also shouldn't have a side hustle with the biggest players in the industry you work in. You can't be a journalist and also work for a bookmaker if you want to claim your work has any independence or journalistic integrity.

It’s pretty simple really. No one who is employed in the media to try help a punter find a winner should have side deals with a bookie. If you want to be a social face for a bookie that’s fine, but you should not be employed to “help” the punter on TV. Total conflict of interest. Give the viewers and listeners “analysts” on their side. Rather simple and ethical really.

Unfortunately we are having some trouble uploading going information this morning, along with a few other tracks. We had 5.6mm of rain in total yesterday. We are Good to Soft, Soft in places. It doesn’t walk too bad at the moment but further rain to come.

This looks promising.
After months of development, the Value Betting Guide is now available as an app on iOS and Android. I’ve spent years developing my own approach to racing analysis, built around one principle: price the race first, then compare it to the market. That’s the thinking behind VBG. The app brings together my VB Ratings, interactive Race Cards, live exchange prices, Value Scores, Data Centre and Bet Finder, alongside daily racing analysis and selections. It’s designed for racing enthusiasts who enjoy getting into the form, studying the numbers and finding their own betting opportunities. And for now, it’s completely FREE while we build our first community of users. I’d love people to give it a try, explore the tools and let me know what they think. iOS: apps.apple.com/gb/app/value-… Android: play.google.com/store/apps/d…
