Why is PayPal closing my account that I use actively and have logged into over the past 3 years? I literally last used it just a few hours ago. I've had this account for years.

Glacier is coming online. I can only issue 1 command to the GPU until it dies. However, progress is being made. Once things are fixed, going to try rendering a test pattern.

NixCon 2026 was really cool 🚀 Over the past four days, Sebastian and I had a lot of conversations around Nix, existing AI harnesses, their limitations, especially when being used in critical infrastructure. A highlight was also hanging out with friends from all over the world. I also gave a talk about "Declarative Hardware Architectures using Nix", introducing Chock, our sandbox-first AI harness, and why the current approach to running AI workloads needs to change. If you missed my talk, you can watch it on YouTube now: youtu.be/x04kHEOabtw?t=14880 During NixCon 2026, we even merged new features into Chock: Chock migrate is now available to help users move over from other AI harnesses, and we're already working on MicroVMs as well. If you’re interested in Chock or want to discuss where secure AI infrastructure is heading, take a look at what we’re building and get in touch. Looking forward to NixCamp and then a full month in Switzerland! #NixCon #AI #OpenSource

Excited to announce that I'm launching a new startup, @LilithSemi , together with Sebastian Kraus! 🚀 With Lilith Semi, we're building open-source tools for hardware development and security-critical infrastructure. Our first release is Chock, a security-first harness for AI coding agents. Since 2026, AI agents have become good at tasks beyond simple web development. As companies start dealing with real workflows, enterprises, especially in regulated industries, are becoming more conscious about how they handle sensitive data. I've been dealing with supply chain security for a while, and one thing I've learned is how important it is to work with safe AI harnesses. When you're dealing with sensitive data, the risk simply isn't worth it. That's why Chock sandboxes AI agents in a using standard sandboxing primitives. We're currently working on micro-VMs as the next step. 👉 Check it out: chock.ws And if you're at NixCon 2026 in Kraków, come find us and let's talk. #AISecurity #AIHarness #SupplyChainSecurity #DeveloperTools #OpenSource #NixCon2026

Chock has a web UI, it's been around for quite some time but I've never properly tested it.

No, it's just Twitter embeds a fastfetch screenshot than an uptime screenshot.

I had to reboot because some services didn't come back up after a "nixos-rebuild switch"
I'm contemplating whether I should reboot my server for updates before traveling in a few days.

More optimizations, now Vulcan is faster than ptxas.
Benchmarks are getting much closer, at worst 3% slower.

Vulcan, the codegen library in Zig, is getting a GPU module. Optimizations have been happening, multiple-add is now ~10% faster than NVIDIA ptxas-n. Memory latency is 1:1, matmul is ~10% slower but has been getting faster.
