Deep inside the human mind lies a clock. But this clock doesn't run on standard time. Its minutes, hours, days, and years are warped. Time moves much faster in the mind. Years move like seconds. And therein lies the dilemma of anxiety. We treat it as if it exists in the present, but it does not. Anxiety is a quantum time problem. It only exists in the past and the future. Self-induced anxiety (worrying) exists only in the past and the future. It cannot persist in the present. Understand that our worries stem from time-projection. We project into the future and experience a problem that does not exist. And/or we project into the past and relive a problem that has run its course. But if we stay totally present, anxiety dissipates. Now, our quantum time dilemma is also tied to WORK. Unconsciousness holds onto things even when we are not thinking about them and creates anxiety. If one procrastinates on their work, unconsciousness remembers, and it alerts us through anxiety. An incomplete task lands in the queue of our mind. And the more of these tasks that pile up, the more unconsciousness increases our anxiety. Therefore, the "cure" to anxiety is WORK. The issue is that work feels like anxiety. But it only feels like anxiety because we project into the future. If one stays completely and totally present, work becomes a tiny object that disappears when we begin the task. It is not until the task enters the past that we feel the relief of anxiety because unconsciousness takes it out of the queue. Compare the days when you dillydally to the ones where you absolutely crush your work. Notice how your mood improves on working days and degrades on wasteful days. Humans are designed for "purpose". Work is a subset of purpose. Without purpose, we die inside. Remember this the next time you feel the pain of anxiety.
